What a tranquil, lovely spot you found to make home, dulcimerduo! Your totem is very pretty. I love how you incorporated the round pieces. I always think it is fun when people put a figurine underneath a bigger glass piece. Definitely gives the totems more character! Like the rest of the folks, I just love George! I'm glad he managed to fit in your Honda Civic! Only a Garden Junker would be so determined to fit something that size in a small car. he-he I can't wait to see pictures of your new and improved pond too! Here's a funny observation ... I was looking at the picture of your pond and I was wondering about the little gnome standing on the branch of the tree ... that was until I realized it was your DH pushing a wheelbarrow in the background! lol! Years ago, in one of my magazines, they had an article of how someone totally enclosed a mobile home to make it look like a cute cabin. It was located on a lake and they made a screened porch along the whole front of it. Looking at the finished enclosure, you would never know there was a mobile home under it! I could kick myself for not keeping the article. It looks like you have a similar idea! Please keep the pictures coming!

It's a type of Maranta.It isn't dead yet,just severly stunted.Cut away all the inflicted portions and feed it well in March.It'll grow back but very slowly.If you water it with distilled or purified water it'll be ok.

aliris - i actually did talk to someone at AJ Madison and they said they would have to order it. That would mean mid August and then whatever time to ship to me. Quality bath or home and stone both would also order it, but I am trying to find it in stock somewhere. I just want to make sure it would be someone reputable in case I have another issue...I'm a little nervous now. The damaged sinks were quite different. The first one was cracked on the bottom...it actually looked like a forging or manufactring defect. The second one came with a hairline crack along the rim and going down the corner on the inside. I actually talked to DH last night and asked if we should consider a SS sink instead ( but remember my granite has been cut for this sink) but we both agreed that we really like the looks of this one...cracks and all! Soooo I think we are going to continue our search. We leave for vacation next week and I think I'm going to try to focus on that and maybe the time and distance wil give me some fresh perspective. I realize that I won't be able to have one delivered before we go, and it looks like I won't be able to find one locally, so we'll just have to finish things when we get back. And I did mix up a batch of Sangria last night...it's like 1000 degrees here so who wants to cook in a kitchen anyway!! :-)

I am really enjoying having Jelly Roll Morton and I am glad you are enjoying it. Salty Skipper has been such a favorite, an I thought it was gone...so happy it isn't.
