Pretty oxalis. Looks as nice indoors as it does outside. We had gorgeous spring like weather yesterday (73 degrees) then last night we got thunderstorms but luck out and no tornados formed. Then today around noon the temp has been constantly dropping and getting down to 29 with chance of rain here in the DFW area. I couldn't bare it and took the remaining plants out of the ground and put them in the shed and garage. Now the only thing I have left in the back yard are periwinkles, marigolds, and ruellia. Looks so naked back there. On the bright side, things should start greening up in a couple of months. Can't wait. Hope everyone stays warm and safe. Deb

Want to see my dining room set and new blue walls? The dining room set was just delivered a little while ago. I haven't cut all the tags off it. I measured the area and compared it to the specs on the table before I bought it, but it still looks a little too big for the space. I'm going to have to find somewhere else to put the cabinet that's to the right of it. There's an extra leaf to the table too, but it's in the closet right now. Now to get some pads for the bottoms of the chairs so they don't scratch up the floor. The round table in the corner of the right hand side of the picture is my old table. It's going out in the garage later when Alex gets home. I have to e-mail a friend to see if her nephew ever got a new place so they can come pick it up. His apartment burned a couple months ago and he lost everything.

A watercolor. pen and ink of the Casita's on 19th street in Tampa....These have been refurbished but they were originally the homes of the cigar factory workers. Many immigrants, including my husbands grandparents lived in these homes and as small as they were, raised their family in them.

kim_okla.....Yes, thank you! You saved the day!!!! I was really getting frustrated with everyone saying they found one for $20......and I was gonna have to pay $100.....until KIM....came over to help me! :0) It really is a HUGE difference in quality compared to the ones that are painted.....like from Pottery Barn....:0) Jeff Lewis was previoulsy unknown to me......what a great decorator!

Check out Jeff Lewis "Flipping Out" on Bravo whenever they start the new season. He's proudly OCD and a meticulous decorator flipping high dollar homes in California. Hard to deal with but does beautiful work.

Flipping Out will feature a house around the corner from me within the month. It's (now) a dark blue mid-century house owned by two women. It's taken about nine months to get it into move-in condition; The show has been there almost every Friday filming.
