There were two of these cars built to be used in a movie. The first one was destroyed during the production.

I talked to the owner and he said that he had worked as a technician on the movie project, but the movie company went bankrupt before they finished production and most of the people who worked on the movie had to settle for pennies on the dollar for their pay. He asked if he might have the car in lieu of the monies that they owed him. I don't know how much they owed him, but I am sure he got the best end of that deal....

I meant to say, wow, that is some car, lazypup! He definitely got a good deal on that.

I haven't got a clue what that car in worth on the collectors market, but I saw him turn down a legitimate offer of $100,000 at the car show.
