Alisandi, I bought those lights at a local garden center for $39.99 each. The manufacturers website below shows them at $64.88. I can't imagine why the difference. They are gorgeous at night! Now, I have to convince my dh that I deserve a few of my own.

Cool link, Gazania! I wouldn't dare myself....the track record here with the usual black solar lights is one felled by tree falling on it, two run over (by male drivers), and one snapped without anyone admitting guilt. :-)

Susan there's a story behind the Mermaid. You've heard of the cities that did cows, moose, dolphins, whales, etc....well, back in 2006 we did mermaids. They were painted by local artists then auctioned off for charity.

Those are great, Casey--thanks for the link! Our town does something similar every year. I don't know what they're doing this summer, but we've had horses, chairs, mailboxes, benches, etc. So many creative people, and a lot of fun.

Sedona did a similar thing with Javelinas.
