OK, I'll chime in today. I always enjoy this thread. This is the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA, and a large staircase inside it, during the day and after dark. Great place to visit. Everywhere you go, there's something interesting. Linda

We love the Mission Inn and go there often. Had an enjoyable dinner there at Christmastime. Been trying for years to get our DD to choose the MI if and when she ever gets married.

Thanks for the pics of the Mission Inn. I had to look to be sure, but I YEP...I edited an article last year about a function that was held there! :-)

The Mission Inn really is beautiful, and I hope to visit it someday.

Jodi, I spent some time on Lido Island as a teenager. Nice place, to say the least! We went on a scavenger hunt one evening and knocked on Rock Hudson's door (you're probably too young to know him!), and he invited us girls in for a few minutes.

Socks ... I knew who Rock Hudson was before he was on Dynasty in the 80s.

We live about five miles from Lido and Balboa but don't go down there often because the traffic is just crazy on the island and peninsula.
