I still feel like I'm behind, though. Probably mostly because I SERIOUSLY cut back on my container count this year. I might have 40-50 perennials out there, and another 24 maybe in other stuff. My usual count is somewhere between 200-400+ I want to do a sale, but iffy on whether or not to do it; people are finicky...I did "ok" last year, but ignorant people snubbed their noses at the small (but full) containers of seedlings (3.50 per jug with up to hundreds of seedlings in it). Ok, so what should I do then? Have my sale in July when everyone's nursery plants are starting to fail miserably? Should I charge 10x as much in July as I would have in May/June in the seedling stage and charge them 3.50 for ONE rud or ONE petunia? (rolleyes). I really don't WANT to babysit containers until July...it's bad enough that I might not get all of my OWN planted out by then, but to have to make SURE that containers don't die...well, mid-July I'm off on other ventures...and when they're MINE..."I'll get to it, or I won't" and either way works. My veggie patch is still under construction (I build borderless raised beds); my onions will be here any day now... I feel like having ordered my toms so late that even a week in April is a lot of wasted germination time. I have mosaic projects not started or finished that I've committed myself to (another forum)...I just feel like I'm not getting anything done and time's a wastin' Maybe I'm just usually "early" and have everything out by now and this "lateness" that I'm feeling really isn't at all.

Jan, Thank you.Have to take twice as many pictures some times to get one good one, taking them with one hand, and the one hand is kind of shakey some times :(.You think you are holding the camera real still and find later you wasn't.But, they may be better then the ones last year with BOTH hands :) NGRAHAM; Thank you. RITA;This DR is a bone specialist that My Dr sent me to.I don't really know him, but he sure don't hang around long to answer questions. His answers are very short.Too bad his bills ain't as short, too, but they say hes a good Dr.His private nurse is much nicer. I am just happy the DL's are blooming as it gives me some thing to look forward to each day,and to come here and see every one elses blooms, too.Makes the healing go much better for me,and not sit and feel sorry for myself. Jean

Pictures may come in time. I just got a new camera (old one died after only a couple of years) and haven't set anything up yet for posting pictures. I'm too busy gardening to sit down and fuss with it. I'm not sure the garden looks all that radically different from pictures I posted last year. Or you can look at the Hobbit Garden thread for a view of a bed of edible and ornamental plants mixed with cheery abandon. It's evolution, not revolution, but evolution that goes on and on. I find myself popping over to the Fruit and Orchard forum and the Vegetable forum as well as this one and the Antique Rose forum. So much knowledge and so much support is to be had here on Gardenweb. I've been using the forums for 12 or more years and I'm still learning all the time. R

Wow, what a guy! We have our very own heroes right here on the forum. I am glad you've made a nice recovery, too! I also had a mastectomy in 2002 and so far, so good. And, yes, Lisa, you are so right, gardening is a marvelous way to experience and get in touch with many living things in nature and all its wonders. Patti, you go girl!! Susan
