I have several sets of flannel sheets from the Company Store. I order them when I see a pattern that catches my fancy, that matches my bedroom style. I cannot say that the quality is any better than the ones I've purchased from Land's End over the years, but the patterns are what draw me to the product. That said, this year, I was incredibly disappointed. I fell for a flannel print and ordered a queen duvet cover and a pair of pillow cases early in the fall (my experience has been that you have to get in early or lose). Well, I still lost. They kept delaying the date of shipment and delay delay delay only to call me right before Christmas and cancel the order altogether. Not like I ran across anything else that I passed on to wait for theirs, but good luck to you if you order from them. seagrass

Their quality is wonderful but their shipping costs are not. It recently cost me $38 to purchase then return a quilt and two shams. For such a big company, I wish they would offer free shipping like LL Bean, Zappos, etc.

The cover was delivered today. First off - the gold color is much lighter than shown in the catalog - much lighter. Actually, the shade goes better with the other colors in my bedroom though, so it's ok. I thought it was suppose to be 98" long, making it 6" longer than my comforter. Well, to me it looks as tho it is more like 12" longer. Weird, but I'll let that pass too. I put it in the washer and dryer, boy there were alot of wrinkles when it came out of the dryer. Sometimes those will smooth out eventually after it's on the bed, will have to see if it's true in this case. However, I had to fold it and put it away until colder weather; maybe I'll need to iron it? ugh. natal, we started a conversation about this comforter cover on someone's thread; so I thought I'd better continue it here. The question was how soft the material would be - it's soft but crisp for the time being.

In my town, Walmart has layed off many of its associates and cut the hours of most floor and door greeter employees to 20/week or less. One elderly lady, a checker, was telling those of us in her lane, that she was working 40 hours and now is only scheduled for 12 hours this week. I realize this is a tourist town, but this action is unwarranted - Walmart has THE MONEY to take care of its people - it just chooses not to. This scenerio isn't unique to Walmart - MOST retailers are doing the same thing, or worse yet - going out of business. I just don't know that these retirees/disabled workers are supposed to do to survive. It's such a shame that these older workers/disabled workers/uneducated workers and single parents are being displaced in this manner - they are the ones that made this country, by doing the grunt labor, and they can't just run out and get another job. They aren't working for low wages because they WANT to - they are forced to because of this economy - a real sad statement of the economical status of our country. One of my sons has several college degrees and can't find a job - even a low-paying job (he is currently working on his Ph.D)! His wife has a masters degree in forensic science and is working at a retail tourist shop because the government has a freeze on new jobs in her field of study!!! They live in Washington D.C. The economy is in peril FOR SURE!
