another green heron from yesterday

That looks like a green heron on a mission. Hope our purple finches arrive soon.....haven't seen them all winter. And that used to be my hometown library, Moni. Cool pictures!

I've been going through old photos. I have a book on how to use Photoshop to clean them up, and one of these days I'll actually read it. :-) Meanwhile, here's my grandmother, Alison (Alice) Campbell. She was an opera singer, and I don't know how she breathed, much less sang, in this coat.

Just took this through my window.

Here's our cat Oscar a couple of days ago.

And here's our new baby girl, Lucy with her Pops.

Both Lucy and Dad look happy. Good match. Oscar looks like he's hiding. It must have been taken in the green house? Is that a caladium behind Oscar?

Thanks, ShirleyÂI'm sure she was laced into one of the corsets of the day. In any case, I didn't inherit a small waist from anybody!

Oscar was on my plant table in the dining room. It's a rex begonia next to him.
Lucy is a great dog. She just had a play date with Blossom; pictures will be with this weeks greenhouse pics.

There sure are some colorful pictures. They are most welcome since it is cold and dreary here. Jodi, your picture resembles some of Karen's. It's so colorful and looks like a fun place to be.

Marilyn, that's a gorgeous bird. We don't have any of those in this area. I sure wish we did.

Susan, your gramdmother was a glamour girl.

Moni, that's a great picture. Did you have fun getting up there?

Wanda, you'res is as beautiful as always and so is David's. I'm jealouus of the photographic talent you two have.

Ron and BB ~ Oscar is such a beauty and that background is so pretty.
Lucy is still smiling. I know she's just so happy to have you for her mommy amd daddy. It does one's heart good to see a shelter dog look so happy.

Kathi, I swear by Olympus. I had an Olympus Camedia C740 with 10x zoom when I went to Antarctica and not a bad photo in the bunch, so when I accidentally dropped that camera on Thanksgiving, I needed to buy another one quickly because we were beginning a home remodel the day after Christmas.

After some research, I decided to stick with Olympus and this time got the SP-550UZ with 18x zoom for about $280.

Same great color and clarity. And the 18x zoom is awesome. We'll see how it does in Japan, Russia, Alaska and Canada when I leave on my cruise next weekend.

Keep in mind, these are not small pocket cameras by any stretch of the imagination, but to me, so worth the hassle of carrying it around.
