We had fog for days, and the frost was beautiful on the trees. Yesterday we had freezing rain...it looks so beautiful on the trees....but there has been so much damage and also so many without electricity. Thank God, we have not had any problems from the ice. (knocking on wood!)

I'll keep Nita company...... Years ago I found these two little naked things under a pine tree. The 2 of them were the size of a pen. I brought them inside and learned how to raise them, feeding every 2 hours with a small syringe. I took them with me to my parents' for Thanksgiving and often walked around the house with them in my shirt pocket to keep them warm and close to me. They thrived, learned how to climb; that's Sidney on my ficus benjamina, and eating her first peanut. Seymour is her brother. When I finally released them, we took them to a forest and put a pile of nuts, broccoli, carrots under a tree and put them down. They scampered up the tree, and without a word of a lie, they both scampered down to me, ran up my arms and nuzzled my neck and then they took off. I bawled like a baby that day. It was the greatest feeling of anything I've ever done.
