Here's my cousin Barbara and me in a bassinet. I call this "The Fraternal Twins," although Barbara is one month older. She's on the right. She has the better hairdo, but for once I've got her on fashion.

This is a Ukrainian Research Station in the Antarctic. It was the southern most place we visited on my trip.

Finding the "feeders" in the snow was tricky this morning!

Gazania, that looks like heavy, wet snow. You must have gotten last night's storm as snow--how many inches? We got it as rain, and I woke up to a lake in my front yard.

Alisande, yes, heavy and wet! About 5 inches of it for now. To get another 2 to 4 before it's over this evening. We had lakes yesterday.

A rainy day in Hakodate. A small fishing town on Japanese island north of the earthquake. I visited the town a couple years ago. They got a moderate hit from today's tsunami.
