May I request that after each picture of snow or ice Ron put the Road to Hana picture in again? The white surf is the only white I'm interested in seeing.

I'm sitting here delaying the snow shoveling I need to do so I can't get enough of the Maui picture.

I don't know how recently you were in Maui Ron, but I got back about 8 days ago and have enjoyed seeing your pictures. This is the crater at the top of the volcano in Haleakala National Park.

Sorry the quality isn't very good, but I was out trying to get a few pics of the snow this morning when this guy came hopping around in the tree, so I just pointed the camera and hoped for the best.

The cottage we stayed in many years in Barbados and the HAM radio towers my brother used. On the Welchtown Plantation in Barbados. That is Sugarcane in the background.

And my brother on one of those towers just doing a few repairs!

Mush, your dear brother was very brave, but also a bit crazy to be up there! That looks scary! Judging by the 1st photo, it also looks like it was windy there... I don't think I could climb that:-:

Sanantoniorose, I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT - I think there are about 3 newer models since mine. I also use the 55-250mm IS lens, which was the one IS (image stabilization) telephoto/zoom lens that was relatively affordable. It might not be the lens you want if you're going to be doing primarily close-ups/macros, or indoor photos, but I've managed to do okay in both those situations with it (and I've been taking a lot of indoor/product shots for our shop - I have to make it work, lol!). I would recommend checking out Amazon or Costco, as they seem to have the best prices. I don't know if you're interested in a DSLR or point and shoot? Point and shoots are pretty fancy these days, too. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me through my page here (I think that still works...).
