New Computer Question

Because of the advice in message linked below, I have decided it is past time to get a new computer and, because there are some pretty good sales now occurring, the time to buy is now.

From several, I gathered that I should strive to get one with Core i7, A6, or A8 processor; at least 4GB RAM; and a solid state drive (SSD).

I have decided it is time to go wireless and get an all-in-one. I can find one with the i7, more than 4 GB RAM, and a 2TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive from 1TB; this is from a very reputable company.

When I asked about the solid state drive, the salesperson told me that none of their desktop computers have a solid state drive, but that their laptops do.

My question is are solid state drives only in laptops or are they also in desktop computers. If I have been misinformed, I don't want to waste my time in looking for a desktop with a solid state drive.
