I'm sure I've done something just as idiotic. I can't think of it right this minute, but I'm sure if you asked my family they'd know the whole story right away. Families are good for that.

I HATEHATEHATE it when they are "multi-tasking", taking your order, and talking to someone else at the same time. Excuse me, I'm standing in front of you, and deserve your attention. And don't get me started about them answering the phone when I'm trying to get some help. Oh, I could go on, but you don't want to hear me rant!

So many times when I get home from picking up fast food, I don't have what I ordered. Grrrr, they are so busy talking they don't pay any attention to what they are doing. I have tried to get in the habit of checking my order before I leave the window.

One time at the drive up window, I gave my order. Here you have to pay and then they hand you the food. Is it like that everywhere? Anyway, I paid, she handed me my food and I drove off without my change.

It was several dollars in change and I remembered it after I drove a few blocks. I went back through the line and the clerk was there, smiling and handing me my change. She said she thought I would be back.

LOL at you Patti. I did something similar a few years ago. I worked 11pm to 7am shift. I stopped at McDoanld's on the way to work one night to buy a coke. I paid at the first window. They gave me my change and told me to go to the next window to get the coke. I drove right by that window without stopping and didn't realize it til a few minutes when I went to take a sip of it. I didn't have time to go back to get it.

I've done that before at a Burger King. I was so used to going to one where the 2nd window was on the other side of the building and after I paid at the first window at this different BK, I drove right past the 2nd window, went around the corner to find......NO WINDOW! Dumb butt! Got back in line, waited to get to the front of the line, she handed me my food and we both laughed. It's not a big deal, really, Patti, but I'm sorry about your hurty foot.

Isn't it nice, though, that you can provide entertainment for the whole family? lol

Twice I've ordered fast food at a drive up window, paid, and drove away without the food. Once at McDonalds-two Big Macs (paid with coupons) and once at Dunkin Donuts- a large coffee. Did I feel a fool! Both times I was in a hurry and couldn't go back in line.

About a year ago, I bought lunch at McDonalds with a twenty dollar bill, got my bag of food and zoomed off. Later that day I reached in my pocket for the change (at least $15) . I had paid twenty bucks for a hamburger, fries and a drink!

Your gonna feel better after you hear some of our "mishaps", I assure you.

I was in the Drug Store looking for an item and this man said "Oh its you again". I said "Yes I'm just looking for Powder Fresh Secret". He continued to talk. "What are you doing for the Holidays". Never looking at me, he handed me the Powder Fresh Secret. I said. "I'm just getting together with friends, what about you?" No Answer.

Then I realized he was talking to someone on his Bluetooth, not me.

"Thank you, Merry Christmas".

I used to work in an 11 story building. I was on the 10th. One in a while the elevator would open on say the 4th floor and I was daydreaming, got out, realized my mistake and jumped back on. It was a little embarrasing since there were others on the elevator with me.

Then one day I did it not once, but twice - the 4th & the 6th. On the 6th I was too embarrassed and stayed off. I caught the next one.

My SIL was having a hectic day,and since My daughter was working the afternoon shift,he decided to stop at a drive through for a take out meal.He was giving his order,but could barely hear the "waitress",so he kept raising his voice more and more while giving his order...took him a few seconds to realize he was talking into the trash can...True story,I swear!

Oh I love these - especially talking into the trash can!!! - that's hilarious. And it's really comforting to know that there are others out there who do the same things as me - sometimes I feel such a doofus!! I was in Subway the other day and a guy came in and ordered a 6 foot sub - it took him a while to realise what he had said and I chuckled to myself.

I just came back from the drug store. I went there to buy U.S. stamps. I paid for them and came home, where I realized that I hadn't picked them up from the counter. I had to call them and ask them to put them aside until I go back tomorrow.

Ever leave your Car Keys at the checkout at a Grocery Store? I do all the time. Usually when its raining of course. Then you have to roll the basket back in and get the keys and roll the basket back out.

Lord, I hate when that happens.

But, worse than me is my BFF. She left her Wallet at the check out. She lives waaaaay out in the country and had to drive all the way back to get it.

I pick up my car after repairs from the dealer, and traffic was horrible. I waited forever just to get out of the lot....only to find after 5 minutes, that I was behind a car, in the lot, empty, and for sale.

Oh wait a minute, I might fit in here too! I was shopping at a local store, they have a phone on a pole in two different locations in the store...I guess for employees if they get a call?? Anyway, I was walking down the aisle in the store, these two gals are unloading frieght and stocking a shelf. I am walking past the phone and it starts ringing. The phone is like 6 ft from where they were working, they kept working!!!!! I thought geeze can't one of you guys answer the damn phone? Its ringing off the hook, THEN I realized I'd turned my cell phone on when I left the house and it was in my purse ringing!!!!! OMG was my face red! I always got a hard time from the girls because we never had the phone on when we left the house, they'd try and call us and couldn't get us. LOL So I turned it on and see what happens?? LOL

Many years ago, we were staying at a hotel in Daytona, there was a back entrance that you could walk up to your floor on steps. The elevator would take you up, but one day, just for exercise, thought I will use the steps to go down to the pool, so I did and in a while came back up the steps, walked in the back entrance, sat down on the bed and started taking off my sandals. Holy smoke, a lady walked in the bedroom as I sat down. Don't know which one of us was screaming the loudest. She ask me what I was doing there, not sure what all was said. Until we figured out that we were on the fourth floor, end unit, and I was on the third floor, end unit. Thank goodness I had on sandals, or I may have been taking off my bathing suit. Thought to self later, if she had locked the back door I would not have barged in. I never used the stairs again, and was so afraid I was going to run into this lady on the elevator.

Oh, these stories are priceless....only because I do the same kinds of things, usually with my husband! (To my great embarrassment!) Thanks for the chuckels. Nanny
