If you mean those hard,clear plastic ones...yep! It fits perfect in the desk. The chair rolls much easier on it, plus the chair was starting to make ripples in the carpet! I like ours!

I have one under my computer chair, and it's starting to fail. Every so often I hear it crack under my feet. It's only a couple of years old, and it wasn't the cheapest model, so I'm surprised. Maybe I'm heavier than I thought.....

I recommend an anti-static mat if you can find one. Ordinary vinyl mats tend to create static charges especially when the air is dry.

I have several of these mats, but have bamboo floors in this house, so don't use them anymore - used to have them under my computer chair all the time.

I used to have one, but don't any more. It doesn't bother me not to have one, but I probably should get one to protect the carpet. Glenda, we had our carpets cleaned this week also. Sure is nice, isn't it?

I have a bamboo mat that I use. It rolls up much like a tatami beach mat when you want to store it.

We've had one for years (actually 2 or 3 of them because after a few years they crack). They work great. I buy ours in Sam's Club because they're cheaper there than in an office supply store.

Jodi, I've been eyeing the bamboo mat at Office Max. They have it on sale. Been back twice to look and think :o)

I had one when we had the computer desk on carpet. Just a warning--if you have to move it, don't place it with the "teeth" side up. I accidently stepped on ours and punched a hole in my big toe! :-) Then DHarry tripped over it and got holes in his knee when he went down. :-( Of course, not everybody's as klutzy as we are.

We just got some new carpet in DH's study - we have wood floors everywhere else. Got one of these mats - medium priced one - it was too flimsy. The chair wheels kind of sunk into the plastic and didn't roll very well. We ended up returning that one and buying one of the more expensive ones. Costco has better deals that some other places. The good ones are pretty expensive though.

I do! I do move my office chair. I have my work PC on one side and my home PC at a right angle to it on another side. The matt makes it much easier to move from one to the other, even though all I have to do is turn to the side.

The mat with the "teeth" on the bottom left imprints in my carpet. When we had the carpet cleaned even they couldn't remove the teeth imprints the mat had made. Never again will I use them. I had a runner in the hall also, now I have teeth prints down the hall.

Good point about recycling, Sjerin! How do you dispose of one of these plastic mats when you're done with it? I was surprised to find mine cracking and breaking; I really expected it to last a long time.
