My DD just posted this update to Nate's Care Page.

Hello,

Thank You-Thank you-Thank You for all the prayers that have been said for Nate. The MRI came back with good news!!!!!!!!!

We got to clinic around 9:30 and did the sign in stuff. Wrist band, weight, vitals, medication check. We then went down to radiation for the MRI. They are starting to remember Nate now, since this has been his 3rd one there. Mike who works in the MRI room knows Nate as the wrestler and always talks to him about it. We finished and went back up to the clinic around 11:00. Everything was very busy and the clinic was full in the morning. Around 11:30 Dr Thompson called us back for the check up and to go over what she knew from the MRI. My heart was pounding so hard walking into the exam room. The first thing she said was "It's looking smaller". Then she also added, I think her words were, "It's smaller but what I really like is how the mechanics of the core are looking". She also did the exam and did a few things to check his balance, which all looked good. She did say that his blood counts were down a little and to stay away from anyone with any bad bugs right now. We will continue the same chemo medication every other week as we are doing now. She did mention that she was going from just a visual of the MRI and the radiaologist would read it in the next couple of days to put the exact number measurements to the scan. I am just happy that she can see a more positive scan just looking at it. What a hugh relief. I knew Nate was feeling better, so it looks like the Avastin/Irenatican combo is doing it's job.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We had a very nice week with my sister Melanie and her family in from California. We did lots of get togethers with Grandma's, Aunts/Uncles, and cousins with good food each time. We all met up for bowling on Saturday Night, which was a really good time. This week will be just a catch up week. I am off work this next week also, due to 3M closing the whole plant down from Christmas to New Years. It will be nice to just have a week with nothing planned to be with my family. Maybe I will get some closets cleaned out!!!??!!!

Well that's about it for such a busy past week. I am just soooo happy to post that Nate's MRI results are better. Once again, thanks for the prayers. We also enjoy all the nice posts from everyone. We ARE getting through this. Take Care, Monica
