Speaking of decorating bathrooms-Pictures

Do any of you put family pictures in your bathrooms? My MIL does and I think it's so strange? I'm not even 100% sure why I think it's weird, but it is!! Maybe I don't want to look up and see my mother/sister in law, as I'm sitting on the toliet. lol All my bathrooms have some kind of theme or pictures of flowers, but not people.

So is "anyone" in your bathroom??

PRETTY, PREETY, PRETTY! Your white tree really showcases ornaments, WOW!. (and I like the garland wrapped pole in the back.) White wreath and garland is so perfect for your fireplace, really stands out! And I like the game table tablecloth, spiffs it right up with a burst of color. The vignette with the fairy lights...oh yeah...I may just have get me some of those next season! Girlie Center and kitchen are cute. That's a neat wall hanging with the tree! I commented in your other post about the gift-wrappped frames. ;o) And speaking of gift wrapping....WOW! I'm the World's Worst Wrapper, do you give lessons? That's a beauty, I'd give you first place in the contest. And then put it right back on that table as I think its a lovely vignette with the bowl. (I'm going to add that photo to our Christmas Misc. album! And your tree, we don't have many white ones in our Inspiration album) Good job, now sit back and enjoy all your work! Wow, you've been busy, PM! I love your purple/blue silver tree! Looks great & that Santa/Sleigh fits nicely under it! And that cherub wreath is pretty above your mantle. That Lemax vignette in your china cabinet is so cute! Love it! And the bath garland w/those icicle looking ornies is GORGEOUS...bet that was a fun project to get up there! Ugh! Your bathroom looks beautiful ...the blue & silver...lovely! The BOTP shelf vignette sure is festive w/that great Santa pic...nice work! Cute tree, too! I cannot sleep so you get my opinion twice... Ultimately, bathrooms have a chance to leave a lasting impression. They should either be a spa-like extenstion of the rest of your home (french country spa in a french country home) or a place to break from tradition and have some fun. Unless I'm in a beach cottage with that theme throughout the rest of the house, the whole sea shell thing is boring. I'm not entirely sure how the nautical theme became so entrenched into bathrooms to begin with, or flowers. Don't miss the chance to make your bathroom unique, however that plays out.

I do have a family picture in my bathroom. It is one of those old timey photos of me pouring "hot water" over DH who's in an old clawfoot tub, DD sitting on the edge scrubbing his toes.

I wouldn't hang senior pictures or wedding photos in there though! lol The picture I do have in there would look out of place elsewhere.

No real people in my bathroom, either. I think I'd have a hard time 'tending to business' if anybody was in there with me!! LOL!

I never thought about it, but no, none of the art in my bathrooms (and I have quite a bit of it) depicts people.

Years ago, when I was a newlywed living in Manhattan, we used an interior decorator who suggested that framed photographs of my grandparents in operatic costume would make great bathroom art. I disagreed, thinking the inevitable moisture would ruin them. So I guess this is done in some circles......

My DIL made me a collage of pics of Emma taking a bath when she was a baby, that's where I have it. I enjoy it every time I see it, thinking how she's changed in 9.5 years.

No pictures in my bathroom. The only pictures I have hanging in my house of anyone I know are the dogs!

no pictures of real people in our bathrooms either. I have a pencil drawing of two pair of childrens legs hanging from a wooden dock, fishing... it's cute! lol

Funny enough, one of the pictures is an old timey one with my MIL/FIL and their friends. Someone is in a bathtub, so I can see where it makes sense, but still...

Okay, baby Emma Bea in the tub is cute and I can approve that one! lol

I'm very fortunate to have a large bathroom so, I do have some art work in my bathroom., including some prints of my DH and me on vacation at the beach. I enjoy looking at them. What's really funny is that I do not like family pictures setting out on tables or hanging on the walls. I prefer to keep them in a photo album.

No family photos. Just art stuff. I was taught that family photos should go in a bedroom, hallway or den only! It's funny how I stick to those silly things!

Have three or four small framed photos of my Ya Ya friends and me. They're right by the sink and mirror where I do my hair. Honey, I used the bathroom with them so many times that it sure doesn't bother me to have their PHOTOS looking at me! LOL
