oh Susan I was just joking. I thought you were also hahahahahahaa SMILE and be happy. This is FUN...HUGS ANYBODY has any questions ..PLEASE ask....ALWAYS! ha ha not sure if I can answer it Dorothy. What do you mean? All the words on the collage used at least once? OK let me see if I can clarify the mistery: I made a collage with 25 pictures. Each picture has a name on what you see in the picture. YOUR job is to find the right word to each picture. You only have to write a word ONCE!! Then next time you post, you can use totally new words. Your goal is to get as many words matching the collage words as possible by the 18th. I keep track of the correctly guessed words of each one of you. Tonight I will tally up the scores after everone has posted...speack midnight lol. Just not sure how often you all wanna here the scores??? I do not want to discourage the players that did not guess a lot yet ;-) But like MJ when she guessed on the Frosty, she got a lot of other words just by guessing in that direction ...hint hint hahaha I will be back later Just to make sure nobody has any questions and FUN FUN FUN ...under the sun or snow or rain? I thought all about my good friends here, and decided that I like them all better as themselves, and if they made a movie about them based on my screenplay, I would insist they play their own part: "(Not Very) Desperate Kitchen Mavens" Jessy as the naughty but cute little neighbor; Cathy as the sexy Italian organized kitchen maven who has a tool for everything you could possibly need a tool for; Peppi as the hostess who serves (lots of)wine with all her fabulous home-cooked meals and the one who opens her home to all the wayward neighbors who decide to leave their spouses (even if only for a getaway weekend); Annie as the sensible, no-nonsense neighbor who keeps all the naughty little "chicks" in line; Karen as the sweetheart that everybody loves; David as everyone's best friend (and the guy who brings the booze); Ann T as the one who ousted Martha and took over as Queen of the Kitchen (and she is telecast in every country of the world. AND she takes all her own photos) Nancy as the premier dessert baker of the country; Lindac as the Scotch-swiggin' neighbor who everybody loves, who really is the expert on everything and who tells it like it is and keeps all the nonsense out of eveything (I love you Linda cause you ARE who you are) I think this would be a great TV series.

Have you heard the German tradition of the Legend of the Christmas pickle? An ornament is in the shape of a pickle and placed on the tree. It wouldn't have to be a pickle, it could be another shaped ornament. This works best if a tree is heavily decorated........... To get back to the legend. It was started to make everyone, especially children really admire and appreciate the ornaments. They are asked to find the pickle in the tree and the first one to spot it gets a prize. I guess the pickle was used for it's colour as it would be harder to find it in the tree and kids would have to hunt longer. I have seen a pickle ornament in some of the stores and if you check ebay, you will see tons of them for sale.

I was wrong. The movie I mentioned as White Christmas was actually Christmas in Connecticut. I think the song from that movie was White Christmas. Another aging person. LOL.

My favourite - One Magic Christmas

Phyllis, I love that move - Christmas in Conneticut. Imagine my surprise when I first saw it when I was a kid, one of the characters that had a bit part had the same last name as mine and I thought at that time my family was the only one in the world with that last name. LOL

I just bought the dvd for Mom who was smiling as she remembered it.

The Christmas Rose? I saw a movie a long time ago where a woman takes her children to her childhood home and her aunt would get a Christmas rose from someone. It was a sweet story and I would like to see it again.

"The Fourth Wiseman". I saw it in the 1960's. I just read there is a new version that came out in 2003. I think I would like the old version better.

The one I was thinking of with the Christmas rose of was called
Gift of Love, A Christmas story. Angela Lansbury, Lee Remick and Polly Holliday (who played Flo in tv show) Alice starred in it.
I sat and bawled when I watched it and now might watch it again if I can find it on DVD.
I love The House Without a Christmas Tree too.

I really must live in a thermos bottle!! The only one I've ever seen is It's a Wonderful Life. Guess I'll have to turn the TV on once in a while. LOL

I still think the 1942 movie, Holiday Inn, where "White Christmas" was introduced was the most fun! and so beautiful!

A Christmas Story
The author, Jean Shepherd, went to my High Scool - He was a few decades ahead of me though. My Aunt lives about 2 blocks away from where he grew up.
