Friend desperately needs prayer

Twenty-five years ago Mama Lucille had a family. Husband (who wouldn't work) and four daughters.

One summer Sat. the two middle girls were killed by a drunk driver.

The court case lasted 2.5 years, then the remaining ones got their first house. A few months later the husband had mortgaged them into eviction, so they settled into an apt. for a couple years. Then her husband said he didn't feel good, started to walk across the living room and died in her arms.

When her youngest daughter turned 19 got married to a deadbeat and had four kids, the youngest with a badly cleft face from her drug use. The girl ran out and left the kids for Mama Lucille to raise. Last they heard, a year ago, she was in jail for prostitution, drugs,... in S. Calif.

Yesterday,(DEC. 21, 2010) Mama Lucille went to wake her oldest daughter up and found her dead in her bed. This was unexpected.

Please pray for Mama Lucille's sanity and strength. Her oldest DGD is 16, then DGD 14, DGS 10, & DGS 8.

Every time Anyone in our church thinks they are having troubles, we remember Mama Lucille and fall silent.

Please pray.

I do not understand why tragedy strikes one person so often, but that poor woman surely had her faith tested. She will be in out holiday prayers.

Here's an update sent this morning. ----------------------------------------------------- Want to say "THANK YOU" for the prayers, God is working--he had hives, they gave him Benadryl, which completely cleared up the hives and the Dr's were amazed, they thought it would only help with the itching. He had a rough night but this morning woke up hungry. The dr's said he is producing the toxin but all of his "numbers" were up/potassium, kidney, etc. so they are pleased but will keep a close watch on him until Saturday so he is still not out of the woods but at this point he is much better and God is answering the prayers.

I hope all she needs is stents but I have had three friends under go by pass in the last month....all in their eighties and doing very well. Good thoughts coming to your friend, Sally. The good news is that she's aware of her problem and can take the necessary steps to correct it.

This little girl is absolutely amazing! The vent machine is completely out of her room. They took her for a ride around the ward yesterday, I think it was. I have a new phone, and am still figuring out how to get to things on it. I have to figure out how to get here, and do it when I have my password handy! I haven't been able to get on the laptop for a couple of days. Good evening SuperBella fans. Another long day for her, now that PT/ OT and speech are working with her every day she is pretty tired once they get done. She has been making strides forward which is awesome but physically exhausting. She still has two types of sedation med running so being able to work through them is no small feat. She has an unstoppable spirit so she takes it all in stride.

That is some heavy refining He is doing with Lucille... but soon He will see His reflection when He looks at her....
May God place His mighty arms around Lucille and keep her inside His hedge of protection...

I had to read this twice - it seems impossible to believe. This is so tragic for the family to bear. I sent my prayers for strength to go forward in Gods plans.

Saddened to hear of one family having to endure so much...they are all in my prayers -- the older ones who need to be wise and strong and the younger ones who are dependant on the older ones.

Good wishes and hopes for a better future winging their way to this family ... and some prayers offered on their behalf.

I've often heard people claim that everyone has troubles, and I recall a parishioner family that had a long series of them, including a son in law killed in a train accident, daughter with young granddaughter died of cancer, another daughter not fully functional, and a barn burning.

When someone said about everyone having troubles, or "what goes around ... comes around", or something like that, and someone referred to that family's ongoing difficulties, it made people in that community reconsider their earlier somewhat superficial judgement.

Similar game to this one.
