Hi, whyndy! Welcome to the forum. My pond isn't "hooked" to the well in any way. It was filled with a garden hose, and about once a week, I top it off about an inch, due to a little bit of evaporation. I bought the circulating pump at Home Depot, and I got one designed for ponds up to 500 gallons. (The tank holds about 425). Mark ran an electrical line to the area, and the pump is plugged into a box as shown above. It circulates the water through a biofilter which we bought at Home Depot at the same time. (The guy there was very helpful in picking out what we needed). One of the most important things is to have plenty of good aerating plants in the pond. Typical aquarium plants will work great, and you can also add some decorative floating plants, too, like water lilies. They help keep it clean and provide cover for your fish. They also help oxygenate the water. If you don't overcrowd the fish or overfeed them, and you don't get fertilizer in the pond (from potting soil), it should stay clear for you. But sometimes, it does take a few weeks to get it balanced. I recommend picking up a good pond book (they even have those at Home Depot) and reading it through. They will have plenty of illustrations and good tips to help you decide just how you want to set up your tank. It's not at all hard, and it is so rewarding. Wow, I'm glad other people know about these things. They are fun :o) I just wish the ocean track wouldn't have the bird chirping, it messes up the serenity of white noise. I guess that's what the big metal table fan is for beside my bed! Jessy, I'd just finished watching some Dick Van Dyke... I've never been much of a fan, but there are a few episodes that are truly great like the Christmas episode and the one where Laura gets her foot stuck in the bath tub. Laura and the kid really annoy me, as does Buddy, but I adore Sally :o) I LOVE being able to stream right to the TV with the Wii! Cloudychristine, that was funny!

I loved it. No static that I could hear. I absolutely love the Julie Andrews version and it was interesting to compare the two. It would be pretty impossible to improve on Julie Andrews but I think she did a great job for not being an actress and doing a live show. Giving Carrie Underwood a standing ovation.

Even though she didn't actually sing the revised lyrics, it is GOOD FOR A LAUGH! --------------------------------------------------------- This parody of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "My Favorite Things" from the Broadway musical and screen adaptation of "The Sound of Music" was never sung by Julie Andrews — indeed, it is quite possible she is not even aware of its existence. The actress/singer did, indeed, turn 69 on Oct.1, 2004, but she did not perform at Radio City Music Hall that year, nor at any publicized benefit for AARP.
