Update on DGS Nathan

Minor schedule change

Posted 43 minutes ago

Hello-Last night (Monday) I decided to call United airlines to double check on how the routine would go for Tuesday nights flight, now that Nate has been using a wheelchair to go long distances. The first thing the man on the other end of the line said was- "I'm sorry, that flight has been canceled due to the storm coming in". Panicing, I let him know that it was very important to get to Chicago by Wednesday morning due to Nate having his MRI and chemo treatment. The man was very helpful and said that he could book all 3 of us on a Tuesday morning flight, plus set up all the things we needed to get Nate transported the easiest.

So we were at the airport for our 10:45 flight and just as we were about to board, they let us know that it was delayed till 12:30. We did fly out then and arrive in Chicago by 2:10. It was very interesting leaving in a white out and watching the crew de-ice our plane just before we pulled onto the runway. I was surprised to land in Chicago and see very little snow on the ground. We called Nick back home to let him know that we arrived and he told us Omaha was now in a blizzard warning. It will be interesting trying to get home tomorrow night. I'm not going to worry about it, my only worry was to get Nate here to Chicago for his treatment, and we have made it. We are currently sitting in the same room we left last week, at Days Inn. We are going to go eat pretty soon, to a nice spot we found last week, It's 3 doors down from the hotel.

We plan on turning in early tonight, due to Nate needing to be at the hospital for his MRI at 6:30 a.m. We will go have breakfast after the MRI then head back for the doctors visit for the results of the test. Please send up lots of prayers tonight for Nate to have results that will be easy to adjust his treatment for more positive results. Since he has been having a harder time these past couple of weeks, I am prepared that we will need to make a change. We have already talked with Dr Goldman about a few options for the next plan.

Be safe back there in Nebraska-

Monica
