I'm so sorry you had that kind of a Christmas gift! Here is the Sknunk Smell Remover recipe posted by one of our memeber several years ago. Lori swears by it.
1 qt. peroxide
1 qt warm water
3 T. Dawn dish soap---NO substitue!
1 c. baking soda
Mix well. Sponge on dog. Get dog soppy wet. Wet sit 15-20 min. Add some warm water & lather. Rinse well.

that recipe right there is exactly what to use forget about the tomato juice and other bull, the peroxide one is the best.

a couple nights ago a possum and a skunk got into a dispute over the cat food at the back door, well the door lost, it got a full on spray and it suddenly smelled like it was in the house with us. I had that smell in my nose all night.

Smell some coffee beans to help get the smell out of your nose!

Tami, I knew about this recipe but with the big dog this does not work. He is well over 100 lbs & hates water, there is no way he would stay still for 15 seconds no less 15 min. For me the tomato juice works as they both can't stand their smell & come home right away. Thank you though.
