what a mix up with the airlines...

Other than missing the ending which I will have to rewatch ( see heater post) I thought it was one of the better legs. It was refreshing not to have everyone land at the same time and be bunched up until the roadblock.

I still love the Goths and how they work together. I like father and daughter too but wish he'd stop moaning about his hernia so much everytime he's expected to do something. OK you have a hernia, we know. Enough already.

Grandson was more annoying at first but it's nice to see him mellow out a bit under Grandpa's influence.

I liked the brother and sister. What is irritating to me is all the footage of the airport problems. It didn't used to be like that. I want more adventure and less hassle at the airports. I want more action. I like everyone this year and don't care who wins..

Apparently the biggest "adventure" on this leg of the race was the airport problems, which is why so much air time was devoted to it. Everyone seemed to do OK with the challenges.

"Row, row, row your boat........" lol We had a great time watching all the different ways you can (or can't) row or paddle a row boat. Jeepers, who knew? It was funny at the end, too, when Dad and Christina won the catamaran and dad said "we know what that is!" A funny reference to a season or 2 ago, when (was it Myrna and Charla?) got all excited about winning 2 of them but then said "what's a catamaran?" lol

I think zip-lines are a very cool mode of transport and wish I could come across a good one around here, imagine how fast you could get across town! Or if the bridge was out? rofl "Don't close your eyes, Daddy!" Great advice. So was "See how nice you were to that lady? That's how you should be to me." Good one. I'm so glad she said that.

It was a fun show, we enjoyed it. Sorry to see the sister/brother team leave, though. They were pretty nice and not too bickery for engineers locked in a power struggle. I'm really sick of Jen and Nate and I think she's sick of them, too. I was waiting for her to bean him with her oar. lol

That pully slide down into the water looked like lots of fun.

Well, the brother and sister are, no more. I was so surprised to see that happen. They were just about the strongest team and I think they could have won. They were smart, nice to each other, good with the challenges. But, not good enough.

So, the father and daughter came in first, good for them. They did well. That cheerleader, Jen and her tall boyfriend really need to get a grip. Again, she acted so much like a spoiled child. The taxi driver would not let them get in his cab, wet...'that's SO unfair' I hope they leave next. The Grandfather and his grandson are hanging on. They did well with the rowing.

The Goths are also doing well. So far, they have been a good team. They did a good job on the wall climbing. I think that she is the stronger of the two...in many ways.

It would be interesting to watch it again to see just how much all the airline issues affected the outcome. I agree that they spent a lot of air time last night showing the back and forth between the lines, back and forth between the offices, all trying to be in the right place at the right time to get tickets. After all of that, the first plane was late and two teams missed their connection. Plus, the brother and sister were given business class tickets...think that was their fault? It does not matter. What do you think would have happened if they had gotten on the plane in business class? Would they have been eliminated anyway? We will never know.

It's over for another week. No show until the 23rd? I might have to tape it. Don't let me forget...K?

I was so torn at the end, waiting to see whether it would be brother/sister or grandfather/grandson. I liked both teams, and was so in hopes that a miracle would reinstate the non-elimination round. I've really missed those this year.

I've marked the 23rd on my calendar so I won't forget the next episode.

I, too, wondered about the non-elimantion rounds. Are they not going to have them this year? I was so hoping they would have one last night, I was cheering for the brother/sister team and was sorry to see them go. I'm very tired of the father and all his woes, he's mean and rude. I'm also sick of Jen and her constant whining. I was hoping they would be the ones to go last night.

It seems to me that when they focus on a couple or a person like in Survivor that is the one that goes?? Does anyone else feel this way???

I do not care for that blonde at all~~she is a bratt. I like all of the other couples and do not care who wins just not the blonde.

How come they have not done any of those situations where if they are last they can stay but have to be first next time?? The man always says when he tells where the pit stop is that the last couple may be eliminated?? I think it would have been interesting to let the bro and sis do that. They were good players.

I heard that the non-elimination rounds are a thing of the past, too many complaints about them being used so much in the last few episodes of a season. That doesn't mean they won't have a few "You're not done racing this leg of the race yet" episodes, though, but you always find out about that when the first team tries to check in. The racers never know, though, until they think they're toast!
