Jannie, let me add my voice of concern too. You are not physically able to continue with this situation as it now exists. You've got to have the time to completely heal and get your strength back. In addition, you must live in a clean and sanitary environment in order to avoid infection and sickness. That said, your husband's objections to pull ups, etc. really don't matter any more. There are all kinds of special mattress covers, special undergarments, etc. that you could buy. But the bottom line is that even with the best products, you'll still be stuck with a lot of cleaning and laundry. More than just normal loads. As his health deteriorates, you'll have even more to do. You must take action now. You really need some help in the house, and you should be investigating a nursing home. And, above all, you must take care of yourself. If you wear yourself out, then there won't be anyone to manage your husband's care. If you have help at home or he's placed in a skilled nursing facility, you may not be doing the care yourself, but you will be overseeing it. However, if you become ill or weakened, he'll be at the mercy of strangers. Maybe knowing that will help him realize he needs to cooperate with you.

My lab, Abby, developed spay incontinence at 1 year of age. She could leak any time, but it was generally something that occurred more when she was asleep. Definitely rule out an infection, then your vet will give you meds to control it. Though it's not common as far as I know, we used a human homeopathic product with Abby- it worked wonders. Abby was fat when she was young and we helped her lose weight to become a more normal size dog by around the time we started doing the homeopathy. I always wondered if being overweight added to the problem. GL.

You need to ask your vet what the maximum dose you can give of the Propalin. We use 50 mg. twice per day on my old gal who has been up to 92 pounds at one point. I am confused about what you are using. Are you trying to use both medications? I know that in my case the Propalin worked totally. I will tell you that when old gal had to take other medications, some interfered with the Propalin and she would leak. If you are only using the Propalin and nothing else, perhaps you could increase the dosage? I don't know anything about collagen. I understand you wanting to use something inexpensive available from online or other sources. Unfortunately, you don't know the active ingredients contained in herbal remedies. I would call the vet and ask what is the maximum dosage your dog can be given (I would think it would go by her weight?). Try that for a couple of weeks. During the times when my old gal's leaking continued when on other meds, we used doggie diapers which were available at the local pet store. It made her more comfortable since she was feeling badly about leaking:)). Good luck.
