I have done laundry and tried to recover from our trip the house is a disaster zone

Tonight's dinner is pan fried ham steak, mac and cheese, creamy corn.

Son is home and hopefully resting. He'll be recuperating at home for two weeks. Thanks for mentioning, patti.

Neat little place. Been several years since I've been there.

I had a Greek quiche, that consisted of spinach and feta, etc. Plus a delicious salad, and a slice of their homemade bread which I buttered as it was served warm.

A very simple meal tonight....cabbage, ham, and potatoes. Today I did as little as I could get away with. :*)

Joan, we just call it tuna casserole, but I like hot dish better! I get hungry for it every once in a while myself and will eat it until it's gone ;-) Yummy stuff!

Ah, Raven, the price we pay for having fun! I know exactly what you mean. At least you have the laundry taken care of. Your trip sounded way worth anything my house could look like when I got home. And your dinner sounds darned good, too!

Glenda, glad to hear DS is home. Geez, do they keep you in the hospital overnight for anything any more? Hope the surgery fixes whatever it was needed fixing! Another good restaurant in B'ham. You sure can find them. Your lunch sounds terrific!

Shirley, I'm so glad I'm not the only one playing hookie from housework today :-) I need to get some cabbage as I have a lot of ham in the freezer and love that combo!

it's been a long day for me. Left here at 10:00 this morning, went shopping until 12:30. I had a Christmas luncheon at 12:30 after which I did some more shopping. I got home around 6:00, turned the oven on as soon as I walked in, turned on the Christmas lights, then went straight to the bedroom and put my nighties on. I tossed some panko bread crumbs in melted butter, topped the crab salad with them and shoved it in the oven. As soon as the buzzer buzzes, I will put the last of the wheat rolls in the oven to warm up and that's dinner for tonight. I am really tired....age has taken its toll!

Glenda, glad to hear all went well with DS. I hope his recovery will go smoothly, too.

Late Yoga night for me~~~DH is on his own. I will eat left over pizza from last night~~~not the best meal but I will be so tired it will not matter;) Not tired~tired, just very relaxed.

Georgysmom, you have more stamina than anyone I know! And you still are having a great meal!!

YogaLady, I hope your DH doesn't beat you to the pizza. One of these days I'm going to try yoga--if they have an easy kind :-) I guess you work your way up, huh? I sure could use something relaxing!

Got all my packages (6) in the mail today. Bobby and Amber came and decorated our little tree and visited. Amber is feeling more at ease with us and chats and laughs with us now.

There was a special from Lucky Wishbone 6 steak fingers, 6 chicken fingers, 6 breaded shrimp, 5 garlic toast, fries and coleslaw. We bought one and got one half price. The owner threw in 2 pieces of cake for free. Very good and I didn't have to cook. It was a nice day.
