Bless her little heart, she is a doll. I had a 2lb girl 22 years ago and she is a wonderful healthy young lady today. Judy

Everytime I make this old Wishbone recipe, people think I'm a superstar: * Exported from MasterCook * Salad, Vegetable Crunch Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Salads Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups broccoli florets 2 cups cauliflower flowerets 1 cup sliced celery 1 cup cherry tomatoes -- halved 1 cup zucchini -- sliced 3/4 cup green onion -- sliced 1/2 cup pitted ripe olives -- sliced 1/4 cup carrot -- sliced 1 cup (8 oz) Wish-Bone Italian Dressing 1 jar (3 oz) Hormel Bacon Bits In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except bacon. Cover and marinate in refrigerator, turning occasionally, 4 hours or overnight. Just before serving, toss with bacon. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : I have never used the bacon bits in this recipe. I add 1/4 red, green, yellow, orange peppers. When making a large recipe of this, I sometimes add one envelope of Good Seasons dry Italian seasoning to the salad dressing to make it stronger. Really, any favorite Italian dressing works........

Pimms is gin based which is weird because I loath gin, but love Pimms! You buy a bottle of Pimms and mix it 1 part Pimms to 3 parts fizzy lemonade (I used Sprite Zero) or ginger ale. Chop up a cucumber into smallish chunks - I slice (not too thin) and then quarter them. Then slice up a bunch of strawberries and slice an orange or two. Put it into the Pimms - throw in a few sprigs of fresh mint and some ice and it's done! Takes 5 minutes and can be done directly before serving. It's light, refreshing, looks really pretty with all the fruit slices and the fruit tastes great infused with the Pimms. I highly recommend it as a fun, quicker (and very British) Sangria alternative.

It has been many years, and who knows, things may have changed, but... chemical drugs are frowned upon. Alcohol is not welcomed past the 'front gate'. However, 'A-Camp' is, along with many other nebulous activities, rife with both chemical drugs and alcohol. A-Camp is the group that camps outside of the official gate. They are often the group that gives rainbow a bad rap. I'm not saying everything is perfect inside, but inside the 'gate' the atmosphere is close to pre-industrial native living. In the gatherings I have attended, I have never once even seen a gum wrapper on the ground. If a person were seen tossing even the smallest item of 'trash', they would be 'encouraged' to go back and pick it up. If, after repeated efforts to get the person to self-police, someone would pick it up for them. Regular rainbows attendees are so environmentally conscious that the tobacco users carry their butts around until they get to a trash can, and most use organic tobacco which they roll themselves. Traffic is inevitable as there is, by Federal law, a time limit on any individual camping in National Forests. Many who identify as Rainbow resist the idea of private property. All land is sacred as that which gives and maintains life (this is simplistic, as there are as many beliefs among gatherers as there are colors of the rainbow... and not just 7 or 8 lol, but every shade in between.) The 'members' of the rainbow are sojourners. Most live extremely lightly on this planet. The vast majority live in a way that adds to the web of life. They try not to 'take away from', or waste. In fact, there is a term for the visitors and hangers-on... 'drainbow'. These are the ones who speak the way, but do not live it. Often they are there for the 'party'. These are the ones who leave behind a 'bad taste'. They 'drain' resources without 'returning' what they have used up. There are many of these visitors, therein lies much of the traffic. If you go to a rainbow you will see many, many vans and buses, When they are in the world and 'forced' to drive, most rainbow carpool and ride share. Some hitchhike so as to avoid driving. One thing that people in the local towns dislike is the pension of the rainbow to avoid waste. Rainbow are often seen dumpster diving for food. They also will go to businesses and ask for stuff that is going to be thrown out. Because of this, many people look down upon them as 'bad' and useless humans. I'll let you decide. I worship differently from the Rainbow, so I no longer attend, but my experiences were not anything like the negative information that many are spreading.
