Christmas pictures of the girls..(2 pics)

This year I was disorganized (we usually get family portraits done at Wal-Mart to send with our Christmas cards) so we cheaped out and took pictures of our girls at home. It'll be much cheaper anyway! LOL Here are the ones we are sending. Tell me what you think!

Thank you ladies for all your wonderful ideas! The cookie exchange was so successful I plan on doing it every year we are able. I am definitely going to file all your ideas away for future use. I decided to use the fleece idea with a little modification. I bought fleece in red, white, green and light blue. I then used an extremely simple pattern and cut out hats that had a rolled cuff along the edge.It was really simple-just straight line sewing-I made about 40 of them in a couple of hours. The top of the tobogan was kept open and the girls picked out ribbon to tie around the top to bunch it up.(Now that I am explaining it- its hard to envision what I am explaining but it turned out very cute!) Then I had a ton of paint and stamps and the girls decorated away. I had enough hats for every girl to make at least 2, so they ended up making one Christmas hat and another hat that matched each others. They are all on the same softball team so they made matching team hats out of the light blue. I loved all your ideas though. Ya'll are so crafty- I really appreciate everyone who gave me an idea. Thank you again! I will be using them next year! Shannon PS-if anyone would like the easy instructions for these hats let me know. It would be lots of fun for a birthday or slumber party.I do have better instructions written down somewhere!

Wonderful inspirations pics! Thanks for showing them to us Yachter. OA, on her blog, she said she put the wire plate hangers on the plates and then tied them onto the tree. The cups she just tied on with ribbon. If you haven't visited her blog, you really should. She lives in a rented apartment and has done just amazing things with it. Beautiful painted furniture, lots of dishes and other goodies too. Can someone tell me how to post comments when you are not a blogger and not a google member and there's no option for anonymous? I'd like to sign up for that romantic homes e magazine. Luvs

Lovely photos of them both Sharon, and yes it's true that when girls are that age they look good with no makeup and even in pjs. But I know how maddening it is to be caught in candid shots as my dad always took photos of us kids when sleeping or otherwise not looking our best which didn't bother me until I was in my teens lol. And yes Sara has really grown up a lot since the last photos. I sure hope that she will slowly regain the use of her right arm. She has done marvellously well so far with her rehab. les917: I love your suggestion for the bathroom, especially the monogram towels. The monograming at the very least can help me with the battle of who left their towel on the floor. Their bathroom has white cabinets, white countertop and white floor tiles. There are so many different shades of white, what do you recommend? You have a legendary almost cult following on this forum and I totally appreciate your help! bluekitobsessed, bungalow house and ideamom: DD(16) wanted to paint her room herself with a few of her friends. We really don't have the time to start and finish this project before school starts. DD works roughly 30 hours a week and has quite a bit of summer homework for her AP classes due the first day of school. What a sweet pic of the 3 of them!! They are all some real beauties! I love their hair and oh my gosh Annie is toothless again?! LOL I thought Hunter (he's 7 too) was the only kid that wanted his two front teeth for Christmas! hahaha

Three beauties!! Claire looks so old to me now!! I can't believe how much she's grown! And my Olivia was a baldy like Evelyn, but I'm sure she'll grow up to have gorgeous hair like her two big sisters!
