I have never used them but have thought about buying some.I think I have seen them at Wal-Mart.I know you can get them online at Bizrate.

We have one and use it daily. We like it less fizzy and add our own fresh juice. I like it with grapefruit fresh squeezed, think Fresca. Much cheaper than buying canned or bottled and no more cans in the recycling. Our local store has the cartridges and they last forever. I works best if you chill the filled bottles in the fridge first. We have three in constant rotation. We put a thick small rubber band around the necks when a couple are -fizzed- so we know which one to pull out. We don't like sugared sodas so works for us. Some friends kids visiting had a blast experimenting and making their own beverages. Use honey or maple syrup and experiment. Just found a second on at a yardsale for our vacation home.

Eleena, I recently bought the soda stream genesis at BB&B. It comes with 2 bpa free I liter bottles and a carbonator, as well as a sampler. I love it! I probably won't be saving any money, but just the fact that I no longer had to drag bottles home from the store and then save them to put out for our every-other-week recycling pickup. My daughter got an even better deal through Kohls. They carry a different model which comes with only 1 extra bottle and no sampler, but the model they have can take 2 different size carbonators, both a 60 and a 120 liter size. It's been on sale for $79.99 and she had 30% off this past week and then kohls was giving out their $10 bucks to be spent later. Only the 60 liter size carbonator seems to be available in our BB&B, and they have the exchaange units, too for 14.99. I'm assuming that I could use a coupon for the exchange too, but I'm not sure. There's also a current $10 rebate offer, see below. Just an FYI - check the expiration dates on the plastic bottles to make sure youre getting at least 2 years ahead.. I have one. I go through easily 3-4 liters of seltzer a day and it was getting expensive and hard to lug that many plastic bottles home from the store. We have the 130L cartridge one (from Costco), but because I like it really fizzy and I go through so many liters a day, it was empty in a couple weeks. And I could only get the smaller sized refill canisters at the local stores -- I would have had to mail-order the larger ones. So I invested a little more in a freedom one hose from a company called CO2 Doctor. It lets you hook up a 20lb CO2 tank (like you'd find in a restaurant fountain soda machine) to the sodastream. Although the initial outlay was high -- about $100 for the sodastream, $100 for the freedom one hose, $65 for a used CO2 tank on craigslist, then $30 to exchange the tank for a full one at the local Airgas -- my expenses now are nothing -- one $30 tank of air lasts me almost a year -- at an average of 3 liters a day with several extra pumps per bottle. If I was more frugal with the carbonation level, it would last close to 2 years. So now the $30 that used to get me about 2 weeks worth of seltzer gets me 10 months. Definitely one of the best purchases I ever made. One downside - you will have to find a place to put the 20lb co2 tank - it's big and heavy. We have our sodastream sitting on a pantry shelf with the tank sitting on the floor, all hidden behind the closet door. My sister has friends (who told us about the freedom one in the first place) who keep their sodastream on the counter and the tank in the cabinet below (they drilled a hole for the hose in the counterop). I have no affiliation with the CO2 doctor website or the freedom one product, but if you are a heavy sodastream user and you have the room for the larger tank, I highly recommend it! (I will link to the CO2 doctor site below -- they also have products that let the sodastream take paintball gun CO2 canisters -- apparently, that is also cheaper than purchasing refills through sodastream....) Such an interesting thread. Shee, that is alot of coke and it is kind of scary when you do actually look at what is IN a coke. Whoever mentioned diluting tea with water, I may get my hubby to try that. He drinks alot of water, but I sometimes think he might be drinking too much tea. Yes, artificial sweetners do have an awful after-taste and they are not good for you either. I've never been into the fizz, or bubbles (although I did used to like Fresca!). There are some flavored waters I like. I didn't acquire a taste for coffee either (we don't even make it in our home unless it's for guests!), but I can get into a good flavored iced coffee. I'm not one that needs a "kick" of caffeine, and it is hard on my stomach. This thread had me thinking, I don't even think we have any "coke" (soda, pop LOL) in the house, unless there is a sprite somewhere, I do like to have that on hand in case of tummy issues. I was looking at a magazine yesterday that had some fruit juice summer drinks that looked tasty. I do like the chick-fil-a frosted strawberry lemonade and would love to find a low cal, healthier version.

Besides Walmart, check Target, Kmart, your drug stores and even the sporting good stores.
They also make something that keeps bees and bugs out. That is real important especially the bees.

DH got some in his stocking. None of them fit on Pepsi cans - I know because he tried them and ended up with a half bent can and I tried and ended up cleaning a can of soda off the floor. Sounds like a good idea but they didn't work for us.
If someone has a trick to make them work, tell me quick before I toss them in the recycling.

Instead of trying to fit the tops, DH pours it into a rubbermaid beverage countainer, or a empty coke bottle. As long as it diet, it is easy to clean out. We have two clear containers that he uses. Would not try non diet products due to sugar content. I bought mine at either Target or Walmart.

I have some called "Bottle Tops". Never had a problem with them fitting the cans. They just snap on. Got them at Academy Sports and Outdoors.

Which one did you need?

I have found these in dollar stores, & some grocery stores

or

these you can find at drug stores and walmart. I bought just one of them at a flea market, they work real good.
I have both kinds.

I have a couple I found in a store near my Mom in East Aurira NY. They don't really work. Myabe it's because I forget to use them!

DH has a whole slug of the ones in Joann's second picture. Like 12. They really work.

The ones in Joann's second picture are the ones I have. They do work to keep the fizz in your drink.

Yes they work great, and keeps the bugs out too. If I ever use a can I use one of these tops. It will also keep your can from leaking. I think the second pic is best since the first cap is harder to drink from or it needs to be taken off first. Walmart has the second ones all the time for under $10 for 12. Also try CVS or Walgreens.

The ones DH got are like the ones in the 2nd picture, but packaged differently - Couldn't get them to snap on the cans.

I think I saw them at bed bath and beyond. Up near the front counters where they have alot of small as seen on tv items.

LOL DH bought one at a c-store. That is where he got hooked on them. The price he paid for one was almost as much as the ones at Amazon. I think it was $3.00 for one plus tax. LOL
