I have never used them but have thought about buying some.I think I have seen them at Wal-Mart.I know you can get them online at Bizrate.

This is an old post but for those still drinking lots of sodas I'll weigh in! I had migraines for over 30 yrs. The medicine often didn't help them as much as I would like so I tried Pepsi, it helped some & before long I drank 2-3 a day. I never liked coffee or tea & never drank sodas until I went to college & then just occasionally(no money) So then I started getting this nagging pain on each side of my back, like I had a small bag of rocks tied around my kidneys, Soon I noticed blood on the tissue from urine. I stopped with the Pepsi after I also went to dentist & had developed several cavities since last visit & all were at base of the teeth by gums. So I tried Lipton decaf, weak. Bring 2 qts water to boil turn off & add 2 tea bags & let sit for quite awhile. Bro. told me he had a serious problem- I asked what & he said blood, I said what does dr. say & he said they can't figure it out, I asked it he was still drinking pop like it was going out of style, he said he was, so he stopped, problem disappeared , 2nd bro had endoscope(what Joan Rivers had & died from) maybe wrong word, tube down throat into his stomach & further) I asked why, blood in urine, I said we should tell each other before all the testing. Again they couldn't give him an answer, I said you still drink a lot of Coke,yes, well stop & never touch it again because 10 yrs after I quit I could smell the Pepsi as someone was pouring some in a glass & I poured about 2 oz in a little cup & in minutes the dragging down feeling was back & blood in urine. So I think that sodas do permanent damage to your insides. I can't have anything carbonated except Sparkling Martinelli's apple juice which it used to say was "naturally carbonated" but now says "carbonated apple juice" so I may not be able to drink it either. Knott's came out with 1 & it caused me problems. I've learned to drink the weak tea, add ice to it & after 3-4 months got to like it. I get gal size of Crystal Geyser water & just wash & refill smaller bottle to take with me. Our tap water looks awful in a clean clear glass held up to sunlight, won't drink unless it's boiled!

I have one. I go through easily 3-4 liters of seltzer a day and it was getting expensive and hard to lug that many plastic bottles home from the store. We have the 130L cartridge one (from Costco), but because I like it really fizzy and I go through so many liters a day, it was empty in a couple weeks. And I could only get the smaller sized refill canisters at the local stores -- I would have had to mail-order the larger ones. So I invested a little more in a freedom one hose from a company called CO2 Doctor. It lets you hook up a 20lb CO2 tank (like you'd find in a restaurant fountain soda machine) to the sodastream. Although the initial outlay was high -- about $100 for the sodastream, $100 for the freedom one hose, $65 for a used CO2 tank on craigslist, then $30 to exchange the tank for a full one at the local Airgas -- my expenses now are nothing -- one $30 tank of air lasts me almost a year -- at an average of 3 liters a day with several extra pumps per bottle. If I was more frugal with the carbonation level, it would last close to 2 years. So now the $30 that used to get me about 2 weeks worth of seltzer gets me 10 months. Definitely one of the best purchases I ever made. One downside - you will have to find a place to put the 20lb co2 tank - it's big and heavy. We have our sodastream sitting on a pantry shelf with the tank sitting on the floor, all hidden behind the closet door. My sister has friends (who told us about the freedom one in the first place) who keep their sodastream on the counter and the tank in the cabinet below (they drilled a hole for the hose in the counterop). I have no affiliation with the CO2 doctor website or the freedom one product, but if you are a heavy sodastream user and you have the room for the larger tank, I highly recommend it! (I will link to the CO2 doctor site below -- they also have products that let the sodastream take paintball gun CO2 canisters -- apparently, that is also cheaper than purchasing refills through sodastream....) I have one and use it everyday. I like the caffeine free diet cola. I also love the flavor essences, but only the lemon. But those are expensive. I try to find some lemon oil cheaper... just a drop or two goes a long way. My DD likes to just have flavored seltzer water than sodas. My DH likes all the sodas. The refill on the cartridge isn't that bad. I get it at walmart. 15 bucks, to exchange the cartridge. It goes a long time though.

I lost the first 15 or so pounds on a crazy diet about 10 years ago. But, I kept it off, for the most part. I gave up diet soda a few years ago, and told my doctor I was going to lose 10 lb. in the next month...so I dieted and I gained a pound. I quit thinking about it and over the next year, I lost 30lb. It came off so easily that I thought maybe I had some kind of chronic illness, but the only difference in my life...which was a big one....I had a total knee replacement, and though I always had to walk quite a bit taking care of my animals, etc., being totally pain free has made a big difference in that I can get outside and do more and I don't have to sit around inside all the time....because, when I do, I eat more. The "crazy diet" was the Shangrila Diet, where you drink oil before every meal. (I told you it was crazy and I have been on every diet you can think of and some you can't.) Some things I don't eat on a regular basis...like bread. I almost never eat it, although I like it okay. I also don't eat dairy...or very little, except for butter. I keep ice cream in the freezer...several kinds but I eat very little of it. I live a long way from town, so if I don't have something, I don't go get it....so I don't keep snacks in the house usually. The main difference in my life is I don't think about food all the time. Sometimes I actually forget to eat. That is so odd for me because when I used to try to diet all the time, I became obsessed with food...especially the carbs I tried to cut back on. (Went on the Carbohydrate Lover's Diet too.) I still love to cook, and I go to Pinterest and save recipes I want to try and I usually will make a new recipe once or twice a week, but I just don't eat so much at one time.

Besides Walmart, check Target, Kmart, your drug stores and even the sporting good stores.
They also make something that keeps bees and bugs out. That is real important especially the bees.

DH got some in his stocking. None of them fit on Pepsi cans - I know because he tried them and ended up with a half bent can and I tried and ended up cleaning a can of soda off the floor. Sounds like a good idea but they didn't work for us.
If someone has a trick to make them work, tell me quick before I toss them in the recycling.

Instead of trying to fit the tops, DH pours it into a rubbermaid beverage countainer, or a empty coke bottle. As long as it diet, it is easy to clean out. We have two clear containers that he uses. Would not try non diet products due to sugar content. I bought mine at either Target or Walmart.

I have some called "Bottle Tops". Never had a problem with them fitting the cans. They just snap on. Got them at Academy Sports and Outdoors.

Which one did you need?

I have found these in dollar stores, & some grocery stores

or

these you can find at drug stores and walmart. I bought just one of them at a flea market, they work real good.

Yes they work great, and keeps the bugs out too. If I ever use a can I use one of these tops. It will also keep your can from leaking. I think the second pic is best since the first cap is harder to drink from or it needs to be taken off first. Walmart has the second ones all the time for under $10 for 12. Also try CVS or Walgreens.

The ones DH got are like the ones in the 2nd picture, but packaged differently - Couldn't get them to snap on the cans.

I think I saw them at bed bath and beyond. Up near the front counters where they have alot of small as seen on tv items.

LOL DH bought one at a c-store. That is where he got hooked on them. The price he paid for one was almost as much as the ones at Amazon. I think it was $3.00 for one plus tax. LOL
