Well, Oprah has her favorite things, and I have mine. Here are two:

Trader Joes Gingerbread Coffee--wonderful flavor, but not over-flavored.

David Wilson's CD's. I put a link below because his name is so common it's not easy to find. Please don't think I'm peddling his music! I just love it, violin music. He has a Christmas one out also which makes a nice gift. Sometimes I get tired of the novelty Christmas music, and this is a welcome relief from it.

So what are your favorite things, other than raindrops on roses, etc.?

Pete Fountain just finished Theme from Moulin Rouge.

I always listen to Easy Listening channel on my tv every Sunday.

Hi Toni how have you been? Hope all is well. I wrote a response yesterday but oddly it never showed up here... I am sure of the first two plants that Ive had for a while but the other three are very new and Im thinking your right about pic 6 being a Tsangii.Im assuming the care for these hoyas is similiar to the care of other common hoyas, in other words treating them like succulents. I cant wait till they flower. Right now they are still seperated from my other plants as they are going thru the New Plant Pest Watch period :)

Raindrops on hostas are a lot better than raindrops on roses, IMHO. Here in southern Indiana we have nothing but 100 degree sweltering sun beating down on the hostas. I noticed today the wax is wearing off Blue Mammoth, and one leaf on Lakeside Looking Glass was completely fried where it stuck out past the other leaves into the direct sun. Even my clematis is suffering and the hydrangea is all droopy. I whipped out the hose and started watering, stopping to squirt myself occasionally. I'm sure I looked a sight, out in the sun with big sunglasses and saggy-wet house dress and lime green Crocs. No rain in the forecast, just floods. Hardly seems fair. Lainey

What an uplifting thread! Things that recently brought me joy: Finding a Vizsla puppy on Sunday and watching him chase my 100 lb black lab around the house all afternoon until his owner retrieved him from us. Listening to the funny comments my kids were making as they put their many years of ornaments on the Christmas tree. Making dinner last night and my younger two kids asking if they could help me make the marinade and chop the vegetables. Seeing my 72 y/o mother asleep on my couch Saturday night with a book propped up on her lap...a familiar sight from my youth. Her love of reading inspired my own. Walking through the mall and seeing all the little ones dressed up in Christmas clothes on their way to see Santa. Mine have outgrown that. Watching my 10 y/o finish a local 5K race, 20th place overall out of over 200+ runners (first place in his age group), and seeing his sprint to the finish, passing a man at the last minute who had been running ahead of us for the last mile. While he's a good athlete on team sports, he struggles mightily in school due to a learning disability and as a result, suffers from low self esteem. He has recently found a love of running, something that he's really good at as an individual, which is great for his self-esteem. This note, that my 8 y/o left for our "elf on the shelf" - this was the first one which she left for him two weeks ago. She wrote another the other night which had dh laughing so hard he couldn't even read it aloud to me. I love the clay! You must have had such a good time playing today. How did you do the designs in them? They look so Celtic and beautiful! I can hardly wait to see how you're going to incorporate them in the columns. I also hadn't seen your Riana inspired flower. It's wonderful and I'm glad you're working with it too.

A deep relaxing bubble bath is one of my favorite things. A cup of tea, some light reading, candles and soft music. Ahhhhhhh Totally indulgent ME time!

Watching the shadows of clouds moving across the meadow.
Playing a game of chase the string with our calico cat.
Baking bread.
Smelling bread baking.
Collecting eggs from nest boxes and praising the "ladies".
Waking up in the night and hearing rain on the roof (we're in Texas, and that doesn't happen very often).
Seeing the sun come up, and knowing that there is another wonderful day out there, just waiting to be enjoyed!

Massages, especially now....it's HEAVEN!!!! LOL

Sitting on the chair watching Clubhouse Mickey with Grant...he's actually still, content and loveable! Normally he's on the go!!!!!!

Coffee in the morning - my brain needs it to function.

Sleeping with a couple of my cats.

Finding a really good yard sale with lots of cheap, neat stuff.

Waterlilies.

Antique roses.

Watching my old horses gallop across the pasture like they were still colts.

Watching the raccoons eat.

Talking to the possums.

Extra, extra, extra rare steak.

Boylan's Grape Soda and Virgils Black Cherry Cream Soda.

Minute Maid Pomegranite Lemonade.

Simply Lemonade

Simply Orange juice with lots of pulp.

Mely's (favorite Mexican restaurant) green sauce and pork tamales.

La Casona's (another favorite Mexican restaurant)red salsa.

Windows open and a summer breeze. Fans whirling.

Looking outside and not seeing another living soul.

Chicken and dumplings like my mother used to make.

Day trips with Jody.

Lunch with my daughter.

Flea market with friends.

Maple fudge.

Buttermilk pie.

Talk radio, especially Walton and Johnson, who I start listening to at 5 a.m. every morning...well, Monday thru Friday.

Just to name a few....
