Hi Mylu, Just B+W but with our logo, contact details, variety name and cultural info. For me the purpose of the pot stick is to make sure that the variety is correct, the customer knows where to plant it, and most importantly where they bought it from! The plant photo goes on our POS signs which are now printed using a UV stable inkjet printer and then laminated. Checkout the Epson Durabrite(tm)ink printers - the're not expensive. I only have to do one for each variety, which at 500 or so signs is enough to keep me busy over winter!! (Unfortunately all the ones where I cut the photo by hand last year have faded - hence I have to redo the lot). For color, you could probably print on the gardenware potsticks using the epson durabrite inks as they dry instantly and are waterproof, but printing speed would be significantly slower. Duh. I stand corrected. Me foolish, not them. I meant to say black on white. I'd be surprised if the 9/64 is the security type because it is not even laminated. Too small maybe for that? I have see the security kind, also very new, in a different section with a different code format. Can't find out much about it. Not really sure what it does when it gets "tampered with". Be cool if it beeped or smoked or threw red dye, but I doubt it does much other than "show" it has been messed with.

It's very simple once you get the hang of it. If you have some label check the item number on them or go and buy some that are compatible to one of the Avery numbers An easy one is 5161 Anyway got to the site and on the left side is a column of items choose Mailing labels a screen will pop up and scroll till you come to 5161 (for example) ok then using the right hand slide go down to the bottom of the screen and hit NEXT Several designs will pop up using that label number' pick one style and click on it. A screen will come up showing that label. scroll down a little and put your name in (or whatever) then go down and put the address in . then just scroll down to the bottom and they should all be filled in. If you like the picture on the label ok if not and you want to put a pic from your file then click on Import you own a screen will come up that says browse. click on it then a screen showing you your file cabinet find where the picture is stored and then click on the picture. be sure to read the info about only JPGs or BMPs then hit next A screen pops up showing you the whole page of labels. go to next Your own printer screen will pop up and you can print them right now. or cancel The screen left with the pictures on it can be saved to your file or you can go to the next screen and tell it to save and it will save to your files Pardon the spelling. You have to play around a little but it is well worth it. I think you can enter multiple addresses and names etc. Now once this is done and you are finished and it is in your computer you can use it as many times as you want but you can't make any additions or correction to it. You'd have to start all over .

I have a first generation P-touch from like 1990 or something. I have used it to label my different flour canisters, and originally got it for labelling file folders in my office at work. For a lot of things, however, I find it easier to make a label by hand. For canisters of things that might change (I don't always have red quinoa, or always buy the same amount), I'll cut the label from the package and tape it on. This is especially useful for something I don't use much of and need to be reminded of any directions on the label. The model you're looking at looks like a nice combination between the P-Touch and a Dymo labeller. You can't beat the price, but remember, the tapes cost the real money. Same as when you buy a computer printer, the real money is in the ink. This model may eat batteries worse than the others, but with my old one, which from being old I'd assume to have lesser technology and waste more power, the important thing is to pay attention to the instructions. They said about mine to turn it off between uses to preserve the battery life. It will turn itself off after a minute or two, but turning it off immediately seems to save an awful lot of juice. That, and writing down all the labels for a project, and doing them at once. It's easier not to make a mistake if you can see them in front of you, and doing them all together conserves energy. They all "waste" some of the tape. Some people want more or less leader. The machine spits out a certain amount of excess to make sure you have enough of a margin to fit your space and that the words are well separated. Also, for that uniform Martha look, you might want all your labels to be the same size. Otherwise, you can trim off any excess. Some general suggestions on the organizing: Using different colors helps a lot! Photos in green boxes, for instance, and keepsakes in white ones. Recipes in yellow binders, insurance forms in blue. If you'd prefer the Martha matchy version or can't find enough storage options with colors that go, you might want to invest in several colors of P-touch tapes. They're expensive, but they'll help you in your quest. Also, regarding the freezer, have the P-touch handy. But also have a roll of masking tape and a marksalot in your kitchen tools drawer. If your batteries run out or whatever, you can still grab a piece of tape and slap a less than Martha-esque beautiful label on your container.
