Hi Mylu, Just B+W but with our logo, contact details, variety name and cultural info. For me the purpose of the pot stick is to make sure that the variety is correct, the customer knows where to plant it, and most importantly where they bought it from! The plant photo goes on our POS signs which are now printed using a UV stable inkjet printer and then laminated. Checkout the Epson Durabrite(tm)ink printers - the're not expensive. I only have to do one for each variety, which at 500 or so signs is enough to keep me busy over winter!! (Unfortunately all the ones where I cut the photo by hand last year have faded - hence I have to redo the lot). For color, you could probably print on the gardenware potsticks using the epson durabrite inks as they dry instantly and are waterproof, but printing speed would be significantly slower. First, I have a 72-cell tray. I never plant all 72 at one time as I wouldn't know what to do with all 72 plants. Once they outgrow the pellet and need to go to a pot, I wouldn't have room for 72 potted plants. So, I staggered them. I planted about 25 for the first round, potted up what survived (all of them!) and placed them on a window sill and started the second 20 or so. When those were ready, I moved the original 25 outside on a tray so I could move them around easier and move the 20 to the window sill and started round three. Before doing this, I made a 6x12 spreadsheet and labeled which plants I wanted to go into which cell. When planting the seeds, I followed the spreadsheet/map. Once the plants were potted, I placed labels in the pot. Once they were moved outside, the labels were attached to the plant so they wouldn't blow away. Anyway, my point is that since I was not filling the tray, I could arrange them in patterns so I would not confuse which corner is which. For example, the first 25 went on the left side of the tray. That way, I would know which plant was in column1, row1 and not have to worry about turning the tray upside down or something and confuse 1,1 with 12,6. If you must plant all 72 at once, I would mark a corner with paint, a hole-punch or whatever. DO NOT mark the lid, as that can be turned around by accident. You could also put plants in the corner that you can easily recognize, like basil or something. Finally, you could probably get by with just planting 71 and leave a corner blank. There are some great pre-made grids you can use that are on the web for just about any size/shape seed tray. I found them useless, however, as a spreadsheet is much easier to update than a printed list.

Yes, if all else has failed I would remove the program and start over. Most HP printers seem to require you to start your program install with the printer not even connected to the computer. At a given point you will be notified to connect and the computer tries to recognise the printer and the process moves on to completion. Silly time now but you seem to be running out of options to try. Have you got a Works version created before the year 2000? If so did you install this patch? If not and you do not have it you can download it from here. It is the third option from the bottom. Seems foolish but we never know with these gadgets of ours. I had an unsettling day with my HP yesterday while printing labels. The humidity was causing pages to stick together to get my rankled to begin with. Then the printer would not start the print job. Hmm, checked everything. Eventually I discovered my labels were wider than the allowable settings so a notice popped up advising me. But in an instant the "I am printing" notice popped up covering the first notice and the printer could not start till I acknowledged the error that I was unaware of LOL.

Not to be excessively geeky about this, but one of the biggest issues in digital photography is that of format and medium lifetime. Those photos burned on a CD -- how long will that CD remain readable? Picture formats (JPEG, TIFF, RAW, etc.), file formats, disk formats, ... I'm not trying to scare anyone off. There are some great things about digital photography. But if you had taken digital pictures of your kids just ten years ago and saved them onto a Syquest cartridge or a Bernoulli disk (hot storage formats of the time), you'd be hurting to view them now -- the readers and the machines they worked on are hard-to-impossible to find. If you printed the ones you really want to keep -- on good paper and either keep 'em stored or use archival inks -- you'll have something to hand your grandchildren (or great-grandchildren) that they can actually look at and appreciate. Or you can check your digitally-stored pictures every couple years or so and make sure they're still readable and transfer them to a current medium or picture format. Just don't keep pictures spinning around on your hard drive without making sure you can move them someplace else someday -- unless they're just snapshots and you don't care all that much about losing them.
