For those of you that wanted to see Grant choosing the winning names, here you go.

This was no easy task. We had to put some red beads in the bowl with the names because otherwise he wasn't the least bit interested. LOL

He did manage to get the job done tho....sorry there is no picture of him holding up the winning name.

He did seem to take his job quite seriously tho! LOL

I sure hope Santa is as good to you .
If I was close enough I would give you lots of hugs and kisses thank you again so much.

Thanks all!!! Rita, my Extravagant is true to the picture I took, funny how they can look different in different locations. I have Pandora's Box growing in two locations in my gardens, and they are slightly different. One gets more shade and it ends up with noticeably smaller bloom, slightly different color in the eye area. Kathy - My Lady Betty Fretz was not a showstopper the first couple of years, but I don't know how it would do for you there in Florida. This year is the best it has ever looked. Mantis, I just measured the scape on Open My Eyes and it is 24", I have it in the front of the bed next to Meet Joe Black, who is about the same height. Thanks for all the comments everyone!! Bowie and Whiskey are so much fun to have around, and Whiskey has caught many many voles!! cindy

grant is such a cutie steph. was he excited to see his easter basket in the morning? i took my nephew, TJ, his basket from us yesterday. he is 2 1/2, and he didn't really care much. just wanted to watch his "bee movie" that i got him. i got him sidewalk chalk too, but kinda hard to play with that with snow on the ground. lol. do you do "the easter bunny"? if so, next year he will understand that and will be a lot more excited. i miss the santa and easter bunny days (and tooth fairy and cupid). thanks, again, for sharing grant with us steph. hugs! tammy

Picking paint and the tale of 2/3

I want to thank everyone here that has helped with paint colors since this whole saga started. I can't thank you all enough. It's been so nice to have someone who actually has an opinion. I think I like more warm, and I know Mr. MM certainly does, but in the end, I just want the color to look nice. Moosup Valley and Copperidge are both darker colors and I wasn't sure if they were too bold. Both definitely match some of the colors in the bricks. Copperidge has more orange and Moosup has more pink or purple or just brown (I'm not really sure what I'm seeing lol). They both have a dusty pinkish/burnt orange look though. I'll probably get a sample of both. There were a few colors similar to both that I like better by themselves, but most look too pink or purple up next to the brick I think. Even if Copperidge is too bold for the kitchen, I can paint it in the dining room, at least I know it coordinates. And there's always that good chance that it will look absolutely nothing like the chip and it will be just like the green that I was so in love with. I'm just going to buy samples of all of the colors that might look good. I wish pictures and monitors would show the true colors that I'm seeing as I stand in there. Today is a lot sunnier, I might go try some of the SW colors too. raee- definitely no yellows. Here is a link that might be useful: This is closer to what my Copperidge chip looks like

Wow back at you, Faye! You described Glenn to a T! BC described jovial - absolutely! So glad to have met him. That is part of what I meant by an enriching experience. I think I need to have a little chat with Grant. He is able to read already, right? "Look for the words that begin with F, little buddy!" lolol

He is so adorable. And he did a great job, all things considered. rofl I can't wait to get my hands on that blue-footed booby, Jenni!

Everyone's things have been mailed and should be there in 2 or 3 days.
Flamingo your "booby" is on her way!! I hope she makes the trip ok...its a long way to Arkansas!
If she doesn't do so well on the journey get out YOUR glue and fix her!! Cause I know you are every bit as good with glue as I am! LOL
