angel feather ornament for a dog

My former boss had to have the love of her life dog put to sleep Friday, and I am making an angel feather ornament for her. Can somebody help me change the angel feather ornament poem so that it will speak of an animal lost??

i am terrible at this kind of stuff, any help is appreciated! i want to come up with something different than the rainbow bridge poem.

A feather from an Angel
Is one we rarely see
But this one is quite different
And special as can be.

The feather is a reminder
Of(insert pets name here) unending love
He/She is now your guardian Angel
Watching over you, from above.

You might try over at the crafts and decoration forum...those ladies are great with poems. I have the angel feather ornie I made for my mom and dad but no poem for it. I do know they have poems over there for it though.....that's where I got the idea for the ornie years ago.

luvstocraft -- thank you for the advise on this. We usually don't go to Michigan for the holidays until next week. Our other grandaughter needs some help watching her 3 children. So we have to leave sometime around 5 A.M. tomorrow. When we're gone we don't have access to a computer so I won't be able to search anymore. I make these Christmas cans for 13 kids in the family. I haven't even got all them done. I'll have to take all supplies with me. And I still have to do the Memory Feather Angel baulbs. And oh my word, we're headed right into a snow storm. Well this will be the last of my posts until Jan. I want to wish all of you a heartfelt blessed holiday season. I will miss all of your posts and all of you. Here is a site that shows an ornament and card that can be purchased. But as the-light-lady says, the ornaments are pretty easy to make. The card on this one says: Angel Feather I am an angel feather sent from up above To serve as a reminder of His most gracious love. Perfect Patti! We must have posted at the same time.....I know you hang out over there! Know I'll save the poem myself....could have used it for my neighbor this year, he had to put his dog down last month and is really having a hard time. He had him for almost 15 years.....they were inseparable. Maybe I can print this out and frame it with a picture of Dodger for him with a feather!

That's a very sweet poem Patti. Sorry I'm no help Trin. If I try to think of something I get all teary. I've lost too many I'm afraid. I'm very sorry for your friend. Nice of you to want to do something special for her too.

that is the poem I used on my Angel feather that I made for my friend...I just changed the Mother space for animals name.

I finished mine this afternoon and I posted a picture of it , if you are interested.

That is just one feather...It was a long and fluffy one...
I had to push a drinking straw over it to get all the fluff inside...then I had to push a small dowel inside the straw while pulling the straw out, to keep the feather inside.

I bought were beautiful fluffy ones.
