perfecter infomercial

OK, I have never ever bought anything from an infomercial but today I saw the perfecter hair brush/wand? on TV. I would like to try this but of course being the scary cat I am about buying anything from infomercials, I won't order it. Have any of you ordered this product and does it work? Is there anything else in stores or Amazon that would do the same thing?

Is this it - from Amazon?

There are 17 reviews posted. There are other products that are similar I wonder if they might be worth looking at.

8 gave it 5 stars
2 gave it 4 stars
2 gave it 2 stars
5 gave it 1 star

Here is a link that might be useful: Perfector

Be extremely careful if use this kind of product. I had one very similar to this one when I had long hair. It got stuck in my hair so tight there was no way to remove it. We tried everything, pulling small groups of hair, we tried dry we tried wet there was absolutely no way to get it out other than cutting the hair. I didn't do anything strange when curling the strand on the brush, no idea why it suddenly did that. But if you go check reviews you will find several people who had the exact same experience. I was devastated to cut my hair at the root which is where it locked up at. Never again.
I see multiple people on amazon saying the same thing, think about how many didn't post comments about their experiences.
I threw it in the trash.

I have had mine about 2 years. Main reason I decided on this one is its size and weight. I am a female with some back problems, so I needed something like this. I haven't had any problems with my battery charging yet, but I do know it will fade over time. I am sure to keep the battery stored in my home away from extreme temperatures so maybe that is why it has lasted so long.(I don't overcharge either) It works well for me. I use it to trim up against my home where the lawn mower can't reach. What I really like is not having to deal with oil/gas mixing and pulling a string to start. I push the button and hold the handle and it fires right up.

JimmyKid4657: Forget writing to your state's attorney general unless you live in a blue state and have a Democratic AG. I live in zone 9, Florida. There is no state's attorney general here. They have an ex-deputy sheriff and a consumer complaint department that is under the department of agriculture. Consumer complaints rate somewhere below hog quotes. As for Patch Perfect: Remember, anything THAT good can't be true. After years of getting burned buying miracle products off the TV, I have come to the sad and sorry conclusion that the whole thing is a fast track scam, but I believe that's because the media is Republican controlled and they don't care what they do as long as they get your money. If they gave a green fig, they'd have oversight and things like what people here have been describing would be driven of the air. Remember, if it's THAT good... run!

I agree, geogirl. Yes, the dolls look cute nail-polished and saves you from buying Swimsuit Barbie. But in what world is an unclothed Barbie a problem that needs a solution? I'm not even going to call it "naked" as it's a chunk of plastic with no features that resemble a real human. It boggles the mind that an adult can look at Barbie between outfit changes and feel what, offended? disgusted? concerned? enough to take up the nail polish and paint her. For 50 years, Barbie has been in millions of girls' homes, and I'm quite sure they did not learn immodesty by not putting Barbie into proper attire between play dates. I can see not liking the body image Barbie represents and refusing to buy it. That's probably a better solution. But another absurdity is that nail polish only covers featureless plastic with a layer of color. She's still naked, she's just purpley or glittery naked. Isn't that how one of Hugh Hefner's Playboy girlfriends got her start? Jumped out of his birthday cake painted gold? I know they make gold nail polish. Don't go giving those girls ideas!

Seemed to me, many of the Amazon positive reviews were "planted"....which I DO see a lot! Few products I've ever seen on an infomercial stand up to scrutiny. Many websites specialize in reviewing the As Seen on TV products. Worth checking. I think that is very high priced. I'd NEVER buy anything from an infomercial with the thought of returning it if i didn't like it.

I don't have that brand, but I do have a blowdryer brush. It's never gotten stuck in my hair, and I love it.

I will not be ordering this product. ravencajun that must have been awful getting a brush stuck in your hair and having to cut it.

I didn't see the brush on Amazon until after posting, I agree some of the reviews are probably planted. jeaninwa what kind of blowdryer brush do you have? I do have the Vidal Sassoon one but it's not the same type of brush.

Many of "As Seen On TV" items end up in your local drug store on a shelf especially reserved for them, usually within a month or so. You might be able to see it in person first before you buy.
