Personally, I never even open e-cards. Straight into the trash.

I've used Blue Mountain for years.
They have a huge assortment of wonderful e-cards.
They are pay.

Have you considered maybe sending a Holiday Greeting via email instead...or better yet, via a phone call?

I once opened an e-card and my computer became ill, and I learned my lesson.

I receive several from JacquieLawson.com every year. They are beautiful, and the animation is stunning. She's a wonderful artist. I'm told you have to pay, but it's not a lot--and you can send different kinds of card throughout the year.

ECards are obvious which site they're from and who sent them. You don't have to click on the embedded link. A legitimate card will also have a link which you can copy / paste into your address bar. You just have to use your normal caution...like you should
with all your email.
The Jacquie Lawson cards are really special.

I use 123 greetings, I have never had a problem with them.

Thanks for the helpful replies! I checked out Jaquielawson and subscribed. They are indeed beautiful--even stunning. I decided on the one with the little boy playing "God rest ye merry Gentlemen."

Btw, I have no problem sending e-cards, and always open and enjoy them when I get them. Yes, a phone call is the best, isn't it? But not when you have a lot of long-distance and overseas friends, family, and business associates to send cards to.

My neighbour always sends me the Jacquie Lawson cards and advent calendars. Love them.

Just understand that many people do not like the ecards, so I guess you should warn your recipient that it is coming. At least that's a personal note for you!

I agree with sushipup.

They were novel and fun when the idea was new, but I think they fell out of popularity long ago. Today the notion of sending or receiving an ecard seems pretty dated.

Instead of ecards, I just put a clipart graphic in an email and can add my message to it.

With a e-card it tells them you are at least thinking of them.
I find it a nice gesture. I sent out about 25 this year.

I think anyone has the right to trash anything they receive in their email list but if I received notification that a friend had gone to the trouble and sometimes cost of sending me an e-card, I would for sure check it out....

It's nice to know that someone thought of me and took the time to do an card...
