You know when I read these posts after EVERY swap and see one and all describing the MTPS with words like amazing; enjoyable; exciting; delightful; fabulous; fantastic; friendliest; fun; generosity; gratitude; heart-warming; hospitality; informative; kindness; thankful; welcoming and wow it really makes me incredibly proud of you guys for what youÂve all accomplished. I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million more... you guys are the BEST!!! Maybe it sounds corny but it actually does make my heart swell with pride. IÂd love to share this wonderful experience that we all have at the MTPS with everyone! It's like Mona said last night... the MTPS is more like a loving family reunion where you also get to take home flowers. On the flip side it makes me truly wonder how in the world we arenÂt inundated with an attendance from everyone that has ever visited GardenWeb or heard about the MTPS! After reading these declarations IÂd come simply out of curiosity to see what the big hoopla was about! IÂm at a loss for words to understand why we donÂt have to put on four swaps a year just to accommodate everyone. How can you deprive yourself of so much joy for such a small modicum of effort? If you love cool plants, great food, enlightening lectures and youÂve never bothered to come to the Middle Tennessee Plant Swap whatÂs wrong with you? :-) Mark your calendars now for the fall swap on Saturday, October 18th. WeÂll start doing the registration thing on the MTPS website in September. YaÂll come!!!

I said I wasn't going to mention your name Kathi Pulley from Waynesboro, TN; Sumwhere20@hotmail.com. Ooops did I just let that slip? You weren't the only ones at all; although you did stand out since you are a regular and we expect you to be on time especially since the kids we already ready and had to wait on you. But far be it from me to point fingers and cast aspersions. :-) We had several couples come in late because they waited on the weather. One guy even showed up from Spring Hill after everyone had left. I loaded him up!!! Thanks for the sentiment gal, we appreciate it. I'm torn between being bummed-out and ecstatic. Just like the rest of life, it's all about highs and lows. We had a wonderful run but it's time for a change... for me and for you guys. Ya'll are going to like Rhonda running the show so much better anyway!!! She's waaaaaay more together than this old spastic geezer.

Hanging Lake, Glenwood Springs. Our hike yesterday.....altho we spent the week in Glenwood and it was just gorgeous!

I told of some of mine over on the welcome to AMY365 thread. Not much of great moment on the Friday ... but son and partner took me to a country and western band on Sat night. They're cousins - John P. Allen is the M.C. and gets his body and movements into it, and his face moves a good deal related to what he's doing. He played fiddle with the "Prairie Oyster" band for several years and recently has done a number of his own gigs. His sister, a doc, plays string bass and brother, fiddle, mandolin and trumpet were involved, and the young ones of the first two: the main female singer is taking nursing and quite vivacious - adds a good deal to the presentation. They attend one church where I go - the one which I went to as a child. The men's group in the other church had a tour of Labatt's Brewery on Monday night, so it's been an interesting weekend. ole joyful
