No, we don't have cardinals in Newfoundland. I wish we did, they are beautiful. I've only seen 1 or 2 before, in Ottawa. We have no snow, LOL. That picture was taken Friday. It's all melted now and today it's foggy.

Jodi,this has been in our paper the last week or so and i forget to go look at it.I live in Oceanside,and i understand there are a couple more here. A couple of years ago one of our weekly columnists set up a camera on a hummingbirds nest outside his bathroom window,that was interesting as well. My #1 son when he was young hand raised an owl from a baby to an adult,also a hawk and a possum.We live on the edge of a canyon and there were always babies falling from the nests. Yes the humane society knew about it,and even saved mice for his owl,and found his possum a couple times when it got away,and returned them back to him free of charge.Both he and #2 son used to help out at the humane society back then,this was in the 60'early 70's before the HS got so uppity,and political.JMO Kathi

Funny you should ask, Jasdip. My son is the ham radio operator, and while we were at the hamfest yesterday I saw an official amateur radio license plate and was reminded that I wanted to check out how to obtain a similar plate for him, maybe for his birthday next month. So I asked one of the guys, and he said AAA can do it for me. So I'll call them tomorrow. Over the years I've bought him clothing with his call sign on it, and I think a license plate would be fun.
