Saw that she posted just a minute ago to a thread. Fill us in on what's going on, girl. Are you feeling okay?

Hi YaYa! Yes, I'm feeling fine. So far the only side effect I've had is fatigue. I want to take a nap every evening as soon as I get home!

I get a chemo refill once a week and it's connected to me through my Medi-port. So I'm getting it 24/7. I go every weekday for radiation. The drive hasn't been bad at all and I've had a chance to do some shopping while in the city.

I complained to the radiation nurse today that it's taking me forever to read my book because I never have to wait. I usually get there early and they take me in early. *S*

I started this book before Thanksgiving and I'm still not through! That's not like me at all. I usually read 4 to 5 books a month!

Thanks for asking and for the warm,healing thoughts. I can feel them.

"Here is a recipe for homemade Pedialyte. It is very important for babies and children not to become dehydrated when they're sick! Use instead of juice or milk for diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. This will not aggravate a sick tummy. 2 quarts water 1-teaspoon baking soda 1-teaspoon salt 7 Tablespoons sugar 1 packet Sugar-Free Kool-Aid 1/2-teaspoon salt substitute The salt substitute and Kool-Aid are optional. Store in the refrigerator. Be creative; use your special Kool-Aid to make ice cubes so it will stay cool in their bottle or sippy-cup. Or, insert toothpicks into your ice cubes before freezing and make homemade popsicles."

Hi Lori! I've posted on a few threads the past few days but can't remember if I officially checked in or not. *S* I am behaving myself, of course, and feeling much better. I had my staples removed yesterday. Now I have to see the oncologist next week to see if he's going to put me back on chemo before my next surgery, which will probably be the 2nd week in May. It's going to be a full year for me, but it will soon all be history. I have lots of great family and friends here close by that are keeping me in line. Thanks for asking.

My BFF only got sick after one of her treatments. She was just so positive and so upbeat and did great. I think you're going to do great, too. Please update us periodically as to your progress. You're on my heart and in my prayers.

Mary Ann, glad that you are doing well. When I was going through radiation, the doc told me to drink water and take a short walk when I got tired. It definitely helped. Hang in there.

Betsy, I'm reading A Good Year by Peter Mayle. It's about an Englishman who inherits a vineyard in France. I'm almost through and it's been a nice relaxing book to read. My December book club book is A Christmas Promise by Thomas Kinkade. I haven't started it yet!
