I have to rip and copy to grab the html address, as always. Since they let me store 2000 pics per ID I have....OK. Flick lets me store 200 before they want me to pay a fee. Webshots is totally unfriendly.....posts little pics that have to be clicked on to enlarge.

Tinypic.com is so simple that I long ago gave up on Photobucket.

I am seeing all that ie, the codes beneath the pic, but their system will no longer let me copy it from there if I'm using Firefox, which I use all the time....sigh.

With my ISP, that takes entirely too long for the next page with the bigger pic and the codes to load, taking all the fun out of even thinking about sharing a pic.

I don't see Tinypic in the Top Ten Reviews but will take a look at them.

I thought it was simple. I'm using FF and all I did was select the picture and clicked on HTML and it automatically copied it to my clipboard and I pasted it here.

I do the same thing as kat_wa does
The only thing I do different is: I don't open the big picture
I just put my arrow on the HTML CODE and "LEFT" click on the code.
(If you look real fast while you "LEFT" click you will see it change,and the word "COPIED" flashes
in the background of the code for about a second..)
Now you can paste the code where you need to..

In photobucket when on your page look up at the top right you will see your name, next to that is a drop down arrow, choose account settings then on the tabs at the top choose album settings make sure you have selected to show all the codes and save your selections. If you do not have that set you will not see your code options under the pictures. Take a few minutes and check the other tabs and settings for some you may not have set previously, especially the privacy tab section.

I uses to go to "IMG" (under the photo) and hit "Ctrl" and "c" on my keyboard at the same time, that would copy the code. Don't remember why I did it that way, but I always did. Now, all I have to do is put my cursor over the code and the word "copied" comes up. The code is copied.

When I paste it into a forum message,tho, I have to change the "IMG" to ". I must be doing it the hard way all this time.

I just hate all the changes Photobucket has made. It takes forever to get to the albums you have. A lot of people are complaining, but I doubt it will do any good. "Why" they had to change things I will never understand.

A couple weeks ago I figured out how to get the copy to work. Today that didn't work. Today I just found the pic I wanted, left click on HTML and then left click on the code and it said copied.

It is not just that that annoys me either. The whole site is jumbled. There is a list on the right side which leaves very little space for the pics. I used to go from the first pic on a page to the last one, but now they are numbered. Bah Ham Bug

I have to agree that Photobucket is not as user friendly as it used to be, plus there's so much "stuff" there that it's hard to zero in on what you want. Still it is free so complaining would be futile.

I does work different and I hate changes....but I was still able to use it.

I see the pic you posted is rather small...I think mine are still big. I like the bigger pictures, I can see them better.

I forgot to mention that the pic is a clickable thumbnail which I often post, remembering what it was like on dial-up to try and open a post containing pics.

I'm happy to say that Photobucket did indeed reply to my email even though I just have the free account.

They said, "One-click copy functionality is now active. Prior to the release, one had to click to highlight the code in the field, then choose copy (or ctrl/cmd + C), whereas now, you may mouse over a thumbnail view and left click (regular click w/Mac) in the code field you need with one action. Please left click (regular click w/Mac) in the field of the code you wish to copy (you should see copied appear), then paste to the location needed. Thank you!"

Now when they made those changes, did they send out emails explaining the new way to copy the code? I seldom ever open or read emails from so may places...like Photobucket, Hotmail, etc. I just mark them as read and delete them.

schoolhouse, if you change your account settings you won't have to change the "IMG" to whatever...
Next to your name, just use the dropdown setting of
Account Settings
then Album Settings,
then put a checkmark in the box for HTML code and HTML thumb, if you care to post clickable thumbnails, and
Save.

notice much difference at all

The only thing I see different, is that a video plays while your picture is downloading.

The way of copying a picture is the same as it always was.

I have to remember that this site uses the HTML code and other sites use the IMG code.
