I woke up at 4:30 this morning and we had a blizzard. Now it has mostly passed over us but the wind is still blowing. 7 degrees here in SD. supposed to get to -2 tonight. I didnt even go over to church at 9. I think this will be just a day to stay in and do some house cleaning and sleep and read. I also am done doing a load of laundry.

Temperature is 74, but a cold front with near-freezing temperatures is expected overnight.

We are in the low 60s during the day and 30s at night. Oddly had a slight snow last week, very slight. I live at the base of the Rockies, the ski areas are getting a lot of snow. Last fall the leaves didn't change, they were frozen before turning. But this fall it is beautiful. Falling leaves feels like friends dropping by. The last 2 years have been off from the norm. Little rain and snow. Winter brought enough snow to wet the roads for slick ice in mornings. I have to get going and finish a few outside projects before the mystery weather arrives.

Several days straight rain or showers in the SF Bay Area. Badly needed, but wish it was spread out a little more. Woke up this morning to beautiful sunshine, which is still going. My rosebushes, including new plantings of the last month, are doing great. My husband left this morning for Tahoe & downhill skiing. This is his first trip up this season, mostly because they've had only modest snow cover &, to make matters worse, he's extremely pickey about what snow conditions (can't be too much this or that) he will accept.

Spent Friday night with my two SILs, dinner (on them) at a nice Italian restaurant. We exchanged gifts. Saturday I put up our little (table-top) pre-lighted Christmas tree. I had a minor accident getting it down from the attic. The metal tree base fell and knocked me on the cheek, under my eye. So I sat with ice on it for a half hour. I recovered enough to finish assembling and decorating the tree. Made hero sandwiches for dinner for me and hubby. We got some snow (Long Island NY)- maybe 4 inches. . I shovelled twice so not much accumulated this morning (Sunday). Today I'll finish my Christmas cards and do some gift-wrapping. Not a lot of work left for me. I do enjoy December but I must pace myself, not do too much. This year I am NOT baking cookies. Too much work and I don't need to eat so much sweets and desserts.

Thanks! It only goes from green to that then I'm left with a stick. Usually this tree is the first to become bare, and I don't think it's leaves have ever looked that nice. Usually it begins to drop in late August and is all patchy. I blame my neighbours 20 foot columnar aspens.... The gardens full of weeds and has lots of patches of nothing... Was going to redo this year but obviously didn't. Oh well doesn't matter, won't be able to see it soon!

It's damp and cold. Temps in low 40s. We're getting a break from the rain right now, but it's on its way back and will stay here for probably another 36 hours or so.

Warm and humid. Haven't had heat on all week long.

It's 41F with light rain here at noon, but we have some 20F nights coming up. I think we are setting a record for latest snow in Chicagoland -- nothing yet and only a *maybe* for some flakes within the coming week.

We really need rain. The little creek to the east of our lot is so low that the migrating ducks there today might better walk than paddle.

About 54Ã¯Â¿Â½ right now at nearly 1pm and raining. Sun had been out for a few minutes after early morning shower but cloudy and rainy now. Temp will be dropping to a high of 37Ã¯Â¿Â½ tomorrow.

Rainy and cool, supposed to rain for several days (Long Island here). That's why I'm inside baking cookies and decorating.

About 4" of fresh snow since early this morning; 28 degrees,very light winds -- looks like Christmas in Deerwood Minnesota!!

I like snow though. Like someone said it looks a lot prettier than the dirt and dry grass.

ND reporting in--COLD and under severe winter chill warnings, 9 above and had about 3 inches of snow last night. Very Very cold wind chill predited to go well below 0 tonight.

The snow we got last night was still on roof tops this morning but now it is all gone. It was just a dusting. Now it is cold and cloudy. After church, I went to the basketball game and now I am happy to be home where I am warm and cozy.

14ÃÂº here, and have had about 6 inches of snow. I think more is predicted.

It was in the 60's here in western Kentucky - mostly cloudy with rain although the sun did peek through every now and again.

I went to an outdoor party today, I was glad that the rain held up until the end of the party. It was nice & warm and a bit humid. A cold front is due to arrive tonight and will chase this nice weather away. Temperature is expecting to drop 30 degrees or more for the next few days. Could have a freeze too.

I will be hybernating... :]
