Let me know how it works. I am considering one also. I can crochet (basic) but can't knit to save my life. I'd love to be able to!

They are a very bad influence, they have me thinking about buying the singing Elvis Head at Walmart.

Now, everyone knows my house is whimsical and my next room to decorate is the Hall Bathroom. Now I have to figure out a way to work Elvis into the design.

Now, I think I've got it. I can prop the Elvis Head up on a stool behind the Shower Curtain with just the head peeking out. Then when guest go to use that bathroom I can get him to say "Hey little Darling What are you doing". That would be cool.

But, I'm kinda torn on that. Because I had already had the idea to use James Brown's Head that sings "YEOW....I Feel Good".

I simply cannot wait until Mum's birthday on the 20th to give her her set. I went to Hobby Lobby last night and bought her a whole bunch of new yarns to play with, too. They are having a terrific sale, I got her 14 skeins of yarn for $16, and most of it is the newer fancy kinds of yarns, they are normally as high as $9.99 each! Wow! What a deal. I had no idea they had such great yarn sales! I never go down those aisles because I don't knit or crochet. Next time I'll go on Monday and not Thursday because they were out of a lot of the colors.

My friends all swear that she will love doing this. I hope so. I hope you do, too, Annette!

Ahh, Flamingo.

Now I recall, you are the culprit.Your mom is gonna love this. Make sure you got her the little needle/hook deal. It is not in with the KK hoops that I got.

I am loving it, really would rather be playing with my KK than working right now. I have oodles of yarn, from my crocheting days. Crochet really bothers my carpal tunnel and tendonitis. The KK did not seem to bother them last night. I started on the simplest stitch, but am eager to try more.

Naughtykitty, go right on and buy them. I can crochet, have for years. Never thought I could knit, but I like the texture of knitting better than the texture of crochet.

Gayle, my youngest step dd is an Elvis fan also. Please dont tell her about a talking head, lol.

Kathi, don't wait! I've seen about 20 things that my friend's daughter made and they're all cute and wonderful. Just go for it. (Flamingo's the name, enabling's my game.) lol

Annette, the set I bought had the hook and big needle for weaving in ends included in the kit. I made sure it was there as the package had an open top.

One more week, her birthday's a week from today. I can't wait! I was playing with all her new yarn yesterday, she's going to flip over it!

flamingo what a fantastic buy...we have this place called gibralter trade center (mostly junk, lol) but they had a great yarn sale last month...and wish i could have gone...

i, too, have been thinking about that head for dh's cousin..she has an elvis room in her home!
