I got a big slab of ribs, cut and parboiled them last night. This morning..what sauce to put on them. SO doesn't care alot for bbq sauce, so I wanted to come up with something different, kind of like Chinese ribs, but didn't have any bottled sauces like that so I had to make up my own with a little help from a recipe website for hints.

I had sliced yellow bell peppers in the freezer that I chopped and sauted with some chopped onion. Added a bit of crushed pineapple with juice and then added one packet of chinese hot mustard from take out, and three packets of soy sauce from the same. A big blop of ketchup, some seasoned rice vinegar, a little blop of bbq sauce and a medium sized blop of steak sauce.

Simmered for a bit then put on the ribs and put back in the fridge. SO will pop it into the oven about an hour before I get home from work.

It tasted pretty good on it's own but I hope I didn't just ruin a bunch of ribs...
