Isn't your area pretty hot right now? Teas tend to slip into dormancy in hot weather -- He's just been put into a new spot, and he is growing on his own roots, rather than budded on Fort. I'd expect him to sit there and just grow roots for a while. At least, that's what I'd expect HERE. Jeri

I was just at the local Armstrong Nursery/Garden Center today with Chelsea (had my butterfly parasol out and open for her since the sun as quite bright and I didn't want her getting too much sun/heat from being out with 'mama'). People were looking at me with smiles (and some with looks akin to "Look at that crazy lady!" Hey, at least my dog was able to enjoy her time out with me as I was out searching out to rescue caterpillars!). They had loads of Rue (whoa!) and even Asclepias (Milkweed) although the Milkweed was loaded down with Aphids. The good thing is that they don't use pesticides. I didn't find a single caterpillar/egg but that was okay. I did find that they had a lot more of the 'organic' variety of pesticides as opposed to the more 'bad' chemical stuff. People were looking to find things that would target specific things like powdery mildew and sawflies, leaving the 'good guys' alone. Loads of Ladybugs were on sale as well. Now THIS is what I liked seeing and hearing. Sure, having pesticides and whatnot are going to be a given, right? But, there are ways to help rid your gardens of certain pests (I haven't had to do a thing about fleas because I give my dog a supplement made from simple ingredients and she's had nary a flea on her, much to my groomer's and my delight!). I made my usual 'spider spray' concoction this morning and it is now steeping and fermenting in the backyard. It serves a dual purpose because it also kills and keeps away the ants. :) Yay! Sure, we have to keep things in balance, right? All things in balance...zen, after all...

If you can't use anything with Deet I suggest you get the Avon Skin So Soft Repellant. I used up what I had and need to get more and that stuff really works. Plus it won't dry out your skin and smells nice. I have those Clip On Off fans but when the mosquitos are buzzing around they don't do much good. Good Luck and take it easy. West Nile I had it a couple of years ago. I try to keep sprayed when I venture outdoors.

Nicki please go to the doctor and ask to be referred to someone for a good mental health evaluation. Yes you may need rehab to help you stop your alcohol addiction but you may also need medical intervention to address the reason why you have such an addictive personality. You could possibly be self-medicating with alcohol and proper treatment with talk therapy and proper medication could give you a brand new life. This is what I posted at the other site. There are 3 sides to every story, one persons side the other persons side and the truth. I wish the best for the whole family. Now I will get on my soapbox. rolleyes.gif I see an all to common thread on all these forums. I wish ______ would go to rehab and stop drinking,stop using drugs,stop being mean...blah blah blah. If only _____blank would stop _______ he/she would be nicer or more stable or a better DH/DW/DD/DS, parent etc. You want to know the truth? Rehab only works for a minority. Know why? Because the root of what led to the addiction or socially unacceptable behavior is not addressed. Research is showing more and more that these are not choices but compulsions driven by mental illness. It's self-medication folks and until the reason is addressed the urge to "self-medicate with alcohol,drugs etc. will continue along with the anti-social behaviors. Rehab is a great system to get one off the juice. Mental health counseling and often medication is what is needed to keep them off and change their behaviors.
