Tonight! Hubs and I went to Macaroni Grill tonight for dinner, and I had the Smothered Chocolate Cake for dessert. (Ate about half of it and brought the other half home.)

My TV is small. Snowy picture. Went to the neighbour's. They said whatever I had to say ... say it quick(ly) ... cause they were busy in the LR ... watching the inauguration! So I watched it, too. Congratulations on living up to the inherent wisdom of your forefathers and having the grace and courage to choose a person of mixed race as your leader. We all need to set high goals for ourselves ... to seek excellence, as I said elsewhere relative to Mr. Sullenbergr bringing that dead-engined airliner down on the Hudson. And to reach out to others, sharing rather than grasping. We, who live in multi-cultural societies, can carry messages of understanding and brother-/sisterhood to many parts of the world where there is great need for it. Good wishes to you all, good neighbours - for us Canadians, the only close neighbours - for the years ahead. ole joyful

About eight miles to the nearest commercial stuff, and on quite a few days I don't travel - so if I want some, I make it ... ... except on Thursdays when I usually attend the ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) club at church, where we drink coffee ... and I often go without breakfast. ole joyful

Nope - Primer Class ... started at Easter, went to First Class in that fall. The Jr. and Sr. each of 2nd, 3rd & 4th ... ... for eight classes in all. One-room rural school, less than half mile walk from home - Miss Jean Abbott, a nice lady, was the teacher throughout. Many rural schools scattered around the country - no school buses then. Fast-learner senior kids helped the junior kids with their work - partly to keep them out of mischief, possibly? How would you like to manage eight groups at the same time in one room? When our children were in elementary school, they started this wonderful new concept - four classes in one room, separated by dividers, with a teacher for each. I said that it smelled a lot similar to parts of the old one-room school, to me. ole joyful P.S. Since the "definately" that I see around here so frequently is definitely not part of my vocabulary, is that the modern way of spelling ... with our way being sort of dinosaurish? o j

I'm with grammahony on this one. Eating out, and we do it every day. Sunday we did it for lunch and for supper. I know it's not cheap to cook at home, but just thinking about all those tips we leave. YIKES!

plants, but that means, this time of the year I am pretty safe. To cold to plant outside... and I am not at all in to indoor plants.

Kitchen items...cookware, dinnerware, flatware, table linens, to name a few. Tonight after work, DH and I are going to Marshall's to pick up my Le Creuset wide Dutch oven that's on layaway ;o)

We spend the most on vacations (4-5 a year), which includes at least 2 cruises yearly.

We're still working (hard!) and not yet retired but are both healthy, so now is the time to do it! No regrets either!

We spend way too much money on vacations and eating in restaurants. We both work full time in demanding jobs, so when we get home we're both too tired to cook most of the time. We go out to lunch every work day, too. We take a lot of vacations because we love to "get away from it all" and relax. Hawaii twice yearly and then lots of places here on the mainland.

We both buy a ton of books, as we both love to read.

And I buy way too much yarn!
