Yeah, I have a ten month old son but he doesn't go into the backyard yet (on the ground I mean) because he wants to eat everything...bugs, grass, stones, flowers. So I don't need to worry about him. Luckily the vine is in our back yard and there are no other people or animals that come around. Also, our cat doesn't go out when we are working on the vine. We have been painting the vines with Roundup (we should invest) as we see them come up but never thought about allowing the plant to "drink" it. It all just seems a little cruel, doesn't it? Just too afraid of the damage this trumpet vine can cause and we are now seeing it climb through the other bushes! It would climb our trees too if we let it! Oh well, we can only try...

@vala55, it sounds to me like someone is "confused". Your statement makes me think of the Basic H2 product. What they say is that it makes "water wetter". This is how most surfactants work. Surfactants lower the surface tension of a liquid. This allows the product to clean better. Unfortunately a major problem with MLM is anybody can sign up and they don't have to be the sharpest knife in the drawer (I'm being polite here) so crazy things get said and done. I take huge issue with people who post misinformation. As for the quality, everyone is entitled to their opinion but mine is different than yours. I have nothing to gain here by my statements I just really enjoy the Shaklee products that I do use. Shaklee is the number 1 nutritional company in the US and they've been around for 50 years. They must be doing something right. Using their cleaning products is more about choosing products that are safer and greener as well as supporting a company who "gives back" (ie. off sets carbon emissions, plants one million trees, donates supplements to disaster victims, etc ...). No one said they would work better than what you've been using all your life. They are "better" choices that work. If you choose to support P&G, Reckitt, whomever with your money - that's your choice. Maybe making better choices isn't important to you so you cannot justify spending a little more ... I don't know. Maybe you do make greener choices but find cheaper "green" brands work for you ... who knows. You have not really said what products you are comparing to. In fact, you haven't even commented on whether you have used the exact product being discussed in this thread. I have used it (as has the original poster). It sounds to me like maybe you take issue with a MLM business. In which case, that's your prerogative but please don't post misinformation.

I am remaining cool and cordial right now. :) The last thing I need in my life is drunks dropping by to yammer about politics and world affairs. I don't care that they are close relatives, co-workers, neighbors or people I've met in my social circle. I don't need it in my home. Wannabe Lotharios aren't welcome either. Especially drunk ones. Or insane ones. People ringing my doorbell at 3:00AM needing a place to crash are going to have to figure out a better way to manage their lives. Exes will have to get it through their heads that I really do not miss them, and am I not into "booty calls". People who say they didn't call first because they "don't have my phone number" obviously do not know me well enough to 'just drop by' to come in to chat then either. And if they had to go through some surreptitious means to obtain my address because I never gave it to them, they should realize that they would not be welcome. This is akin to stalking. I don't care if "We used to work together" or if you are "Bob's friend from the BBQ". People who just drop by for no reason, are just plain selfish and self centered. There are only so many hours in a day and I work out of my home and cannot just drop my work everytime someone wants to click their teeth. This includes needless phone calls too. I also have a child to raise and a home to maintain. I just can't be there for everybody, to sit around and listen to their stories on their schedule. I've eliminated "time vampires" from my life. Social meetings should be scheduled IMHO. Maybe it's a regional thing, or maybe it's an age thing as someone mentioned before. Obviously from reading this whole thread there seem to be many more people who open their door to anyone, including complete strangers, and entertain them or let them stay over, than people who do not allow such a thing, so I do realize that I am in the minority on this topic. It has nothing to do with "not having any friends" peoniesandposies. It has to do with having some self respect and priorities and not being a doormat. I have plenty of scheduled outings with friends along with scheduled get-togethers in each other's homes. Really.

When i was a little girl every person doing work in our home(apartment) would have a proper dinner at our table. whatever we had that day if tradespeople/handyman spends several hour in our place now-yes there'd be pizza or whatever they'd like for lunch, Coke or beer and of course there's plenty of water and I'd offer it right away. when we had our two year gut remodel-that all was harder to do..you've house gutted to studs, no electricity, no water for the most part..you do have blue port-a potty which everybody uses including yourself(was the cleanest spot of them all. btw)..subs appear and then dissappear for several weeks..different teams sometimes changed in the middle..your builder is not too crazy of you chatting with them too much unless you decide the layout of tiles or something..he prefers communication to go though him.. so, if we did see someone for a longer time and/or had more communication with them, and it was more or less closer to the end -with water stored and beer and Cokes, then yes we'd ask what lunch they want and all. (they'd mostly refuse. Maybe the builder told them to) I was sick as a dog half of the time ..as I was in charge of design of the damn house..every time we went to look at yet another materials(it was cost plus contract..finishes on us. Gives freedom..eats tons of time), I had to be put carefully in some cafe, during another long day like that, and fed and watered, like a dying bird. (I don't go nowhere alone anymore, would always go with my husband everywhere) We're in So Cal too..poor workers would spend sometimes two hours each way just getting to our place, traffic and all..then two hours getting out of it..my heart went out to them. It was quite an experience for everybody. I think. yes I cleaned "the site" sometimes-actually it was under their job description, but whatever. Depended on a team. Some would be very nice, and some would drop empty beer bottles wherever. Of course I'd pick it all up. I'm a type who cleans public restrooms..)) I feel compelled to clean. Not everything, but some things are highly irritatating to me. I won't wait for it to be done. And yes we were very often first in this house in the morning, and last in the evening. So to summarize this illegible post: yes I think it's normal to think how to accommodate any person who's in your place/place to become yours, you know? Worker or not. Then under some circumstances you'll do better job than under others.
