So heartbreaking.....nothing as bad as losing a child in an accident.

So sorry to hear about your instructors young friend, Glenda. I agree, so heartbreaking.

The exact same thing happened here several years ago (he had a little sister too). It was one of the saddest funerals I've ever been to. A couple years later his mom had a full term stillborn. I can't imagine the sorrow the family has felt. I'm sure they miss them both tremendously.

In Zachs honor the family has donated a large hand painted reading chair to each of the elementary classrooms in our city. This special memory chair will be around for years to come. All the kids love to sit on them. Most of the teachers have the students of the week use them during reading and daily announcemence.

It's devastating at any time but is always magnified during the holidays. My heart goes out to the family and friends.

Four wheelers are dangerous. My husbands nephew got killed on one years ago.

So sad for this to happen anytime. When it is a child it is so much harder. I will be praying for this family.

We had a young boy around here went up a steep hill and flipped his 4 wheeler backwards. A branch from a tree went right through his body. My hubby has flipped one twice. The first time he was on a trip and when he came home he looked like someone has just beat the heck out of him. Just seeing him scared me to death.

Our Thanksgiving day ended sadly also. My daughter's 70 yr. old father-in-law died. He had had several heart attacks throughout the years, then had cancer that had spread to pretty much all of his organs. He's been in Hospice for a few weeks. We share teen grandchildren, and they're among the saddest around; they lived in the same town and were very close to their Papa.

So sorry for the loss, Glenda. I cannot imagine that family's pain.

That's a really sad story and my heart goes out to the family. To lose a child is beyond heartbreaking. However I would never ever let my kids ride those 4 wheelers, not that they ever wanted to. Way too dangerous.

a friend of mine has had a sad thanksgiving also her cousins 16 yr old son hung hisself but didnt leave a note so sad

It's time to think of all those that have sadness in their lives right now, and always. But especially at this seasonal time of year.

That is so sad. And now every Thanksgiving will hold that horrible memory for the family. That's even sadder.

Evatx, sorry for your grandchildren, too. Losing someone you love is never easy, even if you know it will be coming. Especially during the holidays and especially with young people, too.
