Like Ruthie, I'm still waiting for someone to post a link to "On several right wing websites ,there are links to click on to send hundreds of emails from every computer. At the designated time, they all get busy."
I would like to read them too.

    Anyone?

Now, I watched a lot of the episodes when
Marie Osmond was on. SHE is one that
should NOT have been in the final three, either.
No body sooooooo ANGRY over that, because she isn't
related to a political figure. lol

So is the problem you're having resolved related to the insane amount of rain we got last year? We have been dealing with water issues as well. In fact, the $6,000 waterproofing project really wasn't the way I wanted to spend my money, LOL. Our house is on a corner lot of a cul-de-sac and the terrain slopes down from the street all the way to the bottom of our street into the woods. Remember that day about a year ago when we got about 5 1/2 inches of rain in one day? That was the beginning of our water problems. For us, the ground underneath the slab portion of our house is so saturated that every time the rain is heavy enough and long enough, we had water breaching a wall in our basement/elevated crawl space on the other side of the slab. Sorry you are having to do all this work now. Your hostas will be OK in the pots and when you get to put them back and make that area beautiful again, it will be very rewarding.

Hey NC, Your plant looks fine, just do not start fertilizing her too much. As for my plants yes, the reds are turning darker, the yellows that are suppose to have red veining or red colors like Ruby Gold from Oz, Sherbert Town, Firestorm from JJs, Penang Peach, Lava Flow start to develop their reds. Up until the heat wave Sherbert town was solid Yelow, Jackie was solid Yellow, Kimo was more yellow now pink and orange, and Musk rainbow is loking more purple around the edges. So your plumies fine. As for Sheer Beauty that is another one I had 2 of, one from the source Anucha and another one from a friend who I think got it from BBB. Brad does have Sheer Beauty from time to time so you need to check out his site as it sells out quickly. I ended up getting rid of both of my SB as they did not perform well, did not look like its pic, save your money NC. JL Dane is another one that does not peform well.... So save your money. Get a purple Jack or a JL Golden Pagoda before Dane or SB. Golden Ray from JJ's is also nice and will perform to a degree in cooler temps and if you get in to the mid 80s plus GR is a stunner. Ok hoped that helped.

Thanks Lisa!! First thing I did this morning when I got up was to go to the window to see if they were at the box and they were! They were there for about an hour and a half when I had to take dd to school. They weren't there when I got back but showed back up again around 9:30, now I haven't seen them since. They had both been going in the box, once I saw them both go in the box together too which I figured was a good sign. I am not freaking out yet that they went somewhere else, well yes I am but I am not admitting it. LOL! I recall last year when we got a pair of Blues in mid June that they took forever to get settled. Last year I saw them on a Monday and then the female was MIA for the next five days however the male stayed around singing his heart out. Then the female showed back up and two days later started building a nest. So I am hoping they have chosen this box and right now are just relaxing a bit until they are ready to get down to business again. DOnna

Glad to hear all is well. All medication has some risk of side effects. The key is to determine whether the risk of taking the meds is greater than the risk of not taking them. Sometimes that involves some personal judgement and isn't a black and white call that can be made entirely by your doctor.

The difference, in my humble opinion (your mileage may vary), is that Marie Osmond was a legitmate "star," whereas Bristol Palin's claim to fame was being the pregnant, unwed teenage daughter of the candidate for Vice President in the Republican party (and now she's the unwed teenage mother who is the daughter of a former and future Republican candidate). I truly think that if she were the pregnant unwed (now an unwed mother) teenage daughter (of a Democratic candidate, the outrage would be just as great. She simply doesn't belong on Dancing With The Stars.

And, as far as Maks' attitude -- he never said ANYTHING negative about Bristol Palin. When he displayed "attitude," it was to the judges for holding what HE did against his partner. The judges gave Brandy a lower score for not starting her solo (last week) sooner. But MAKS is the one who choreographed the routine. They would have every right to say something bad to Maks, but they really shouldn't hold it against Brandy.

LOL True, Lindsey, BP is not a star!
Sad thing for me is sometimes I have to go look
people up... sometimes i don't know who the heck
the so called "star" is. I was looking at some of
the mags at the grocery checkout the other day with
"stars" on the front covers... I told the lady that
was stocking them that I had no clue who half of them
are! she cracked up and said neither did she! lol
guess I need to be 18! LOL

Well said, Lindsey. If Palin were a Democrat, there would be screaming about the unfairness of it all from many who don't have a problem with her sabotaging good talented dancers this season. . .

LOL.. poor kid. I hardly think SHE is sabotaging
anything. She was just dumb enough to think joining
the cast was a good thing. lol
    this is a funny thread!

Ah, I imagine you won't have to wait long for that... Chelsea Clinton perhaps....

I wasn't saying that Maks said anything about Bristol, I hope it didn't seem like that's what I was saying. I just said that he had attitude.. which he did.

    Now she's sabotaging????

This is going from funny to rediculous very fast! LOLOL

I'd love to see Chelsea Clinton! I think she's been involved with ballet all her life so maybe we will someday. I think she's great. I'm green with envy over the schools she's attended. I admire when people rise above their circumstances and carve lives out for themselves instead of just being famous for being born. Sure, her name helps but I don't think anyone could argue that she possesses immense intellect, maturity and poise.

Palin isn't sabotaging, her mother's fans are. Think of all the hard work the dancers put in. They work day and night till they master the dance. I just thought it strange from the beginning that she was actually considered a STAR!! Florence Henderson, Brandy, Rick Fox, Jennifer Grey. THEY are stars. ..Don't worry Chelsea Clinton has way more class than to appear on DWTS. She won't even release wedding pictures except a few for the public. But don't rule out Palin's husband. She said he wants to do it.

Rick Fox isn"t a star, he is a over paid basketball player.

Star? Wasn't Jerry Springer on there?

Funny in Palin's new book she criticized wanna be so called talent on American Idol. I don't know the exact quote but she said these untalented people actually think they have talent. Oh ,the irony.

That is funny, Lily. So, what did you think of the
rest of the book. Learn anything interesting? Is it
all politic stuff, or what? Bristol must not have
    read that part! LOL

With all the many problems in this world, I wouldn't waste a minute giving any thought to this subject.

Kat..no of course I have not read her book. Just caught the excerpt on a news website and just found it a little amusing and so counter from what she apparently wrote in her book. American Idol has nothing to do with Politics, and I don't know the context of the comment about the untalented kids on AI since her DD was the most untalented on DWTS.

You know what I think?? The youth of America is voting for Bristol..nothing political at all. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't win the competition. No, she doesn't deserve it, but like Makx said, this is America where votes counts and votes rule. I didn't like Brandy but she was an excellent dancer and I was pulling for she and Max to win. Yes, as someone mentioned I think the rules should change to prevent this from happening again. We shall see.

I would agree with you about the youth except I think they're voting for Kyle. If I wouldn't have seen the fraudulent rightwing websites on how to beat the required rules ,I wouldn't have believed it. 300 votes per computer. To be fair I think the rules should change this week on the voting. They do this from time to time . ABC should announce the rules Monday night to prevent the fraudulent votes to be able to occur. Then we would have a fair winner. I won't be watching tho. I'm done. It was enjoyable frivolous entertainment to me but just turned bizarre. First rule next year, the person must be a star..past or present. A real star.

Remember back when Clinton was getting special favors "ahem" from Monica L. and Hillary went on TV and said it was a rightwing conspiracy to smear her husband.

I'm still laughing at that one along with the "fraudulent rightwing website on how to beat the required rules."

Did you read the links on how to beat the system?

Since it's on a liberal website-- hillbuzz.org they must be telling the truth.

I'm waiting for the botoxed meerkat Pelosi to tell me this is a rightwing conspiracy then I will know it's the truth lol

So if the instructions on how to beat the system are online, ANYONE can use them. Not just right winger, nuts, whatever people call them. This is completely rediculous to bombard that poor girl. So much Hatred towards her, and her mother. Question for anyone complaining about her being on there, you wouldn't do it if given the chance? How about if your daughter, or niece, or some young girl or guy you know, that's not a "star" were offered to compete, would you tell them "don't do it, you're not a star". I don't think so. And if you did, shame on you. Anyone asked to be on the show has a right to be on. Whether WE think they are a "star" or not. It's all about ratings, ratings, ratings. And they are certainly getting that. And if Bristol wins, I have no doubt DWTS will still go on. And for the record, I watch every week, and I vote every week.

It has STAR in it's title , so therefore a teen mother "activist" does not qualify. DWTS is aware of the voting scam and is changing the voting rules I just read.

OMG, Ciele....getting a little off subject aren't you? The OP was about DWTS. remember? last I heard, Bill Clinton or Nancy Polosi have never been on the show.

OMG, Dotmom....People are talking about rightwing conspiracies ABOUT DWTS.

OMG, Dotmom......Yes I do remember that the OP was about DWTS so get off your high horse.

It's just hard for me to believe how vindictive women can be against other women. In this case it's just a young girl
    learning to dance.

Ciele is not the one who turned this political.

She is just the one pointing out how rediculous some of these comments are.

For some of you this has nothing to do with whether Bristol is a star or not, it's all about her Momma and politics.

I have yet to see anyone post a link as to how to skew the voting, only gossip sites that claim it is being done.

I give up, it is like talking to kindergartners. You can be as smarmy and stupidly juvenile in your answers and remarks. If they are directed to me, your wasting your time. I'm done. Bye!

You can sure dish it out but when someone challenges you pick up your toys and go home.

ciele have read the site you posted? think you'd better take another look at hillbuzz.org found this posted...if this is liberal, don't think so...

Some of you may have figured out what IâÂÂve been up to this week, in revving up the lamestream media into a frenzy over Bristol Palin and Dancing with the Stars.

I adore Bristol, and my heart goes out to her for how much sheâÂÂs been attacked by the Leftist media the last two years. I also think sheâÂÂs remarkable for her bravery in appearing on this show, up against trained professionals, and doing so darn GREAT. She is beyond impressive, and deserves to win the competition as the only non-professional left, with just about everything on the show stacked against her.

SheâÂÂs US. SheâÂÂs your daughter, your granddaughter, your cousin, your aunt, your friend. SheâÂÂs our next First Daughter, too, so I canâÂÂt help but think how cool it will be for that Mirror Ball Trophy to move into the White House with her and little Tripp when they come to Washington with the rest of the Palin Family.

But, beyond Bristol, and beyond Dancing with the Stars, Americans need to really take a long hard look at how Democrats commit massive voter fraud in every single election.

Holy cow - some of you ought to step back and breathe.

Please tell me this isn't what your life is all about - although judging from some of your posting histories, it is. Sad to say.

This kind of angst and bitterness isn't good for your health.

    It's a TV SHOW, for Pete's sake.

    A TV SHOW

Let's all keep those panties in a wad, and those knickers in a twist!

Good grief! Conspiracy theories everywhere! Get a life.

As Tally said "IT'S TV" - and nothing more.

I think this whole thing is rather amusing! I've been watching Dancing with the STARS since it began. I've yet to see a STAR on the show. Most of the contestants are either Has beens or athletes and some of whom I've never heard of. It's been a great venue for the has beens.......in many cases it has renewed their careers. Every time they announce the new cast, there's maybe three names I recognize but who cares. The fun part is to watch each one progress and improve week after week. For those of you who think Bristol can't dance, if you listen to the judges, technically she's very good. Her problem is that she's too stiff and doesn't project the image of the character of the dance. I promise you she will not win. The voters will keep voting someone on until it gets right down to the nitty gritty, and then they vote for the person that really deserves to win except in the case of twinkle toes...the football player.....Emmitt Smith. He was very good and I enjoyed him but didn't think he was the best dancer that season. It left such a big impact on my life, I can't even remember who he was competing against at the time and by next season, Bristol Palin will be forgotten, too.

Dotmom, I had no idea this was about you!

I'm stunned. However did I miss that?

    Childish,juvenile,rediculous?

    Yep.

    let's put it into perspective.....

Does Bristol's jive even compare to Derek's or Max's? Hardly. Forget the whole politial outlook and focus on the dance.....

    Let's face it....Max was robbed!

Wow! This whole thing has gone beyond bizarre. I have watched DWTS since the beginning. I love dancing and I love the show although I don't agree with the judges sometimes....it's an entertaining TV SHOW!! This is the latest in the news here today. Now they're sending threats to Bristol through the mail. Unbelievable and truly SICK! Talk about knickers in a twist......
I believe it was CNN or MSN where I was reading that this was specifically sent to her and there was more about the voting scandal as well. This is wrong on so many levels.

I think those voting for bristol are indicating their confidence in Sarah. Her popularity is enormous. Just my opinion...

I have mentioned this before, but I resent ABC putting 'stars' with previous dance experience on this show.

My votes go to those, with NO experience, who show the most improvement.

We all know Jennifer Gray can dance. She is nice to watch, but the others were no match for her.

Why doesn't ABC just put contestants that are all on the save level from the beginning?

In the end, it is a popularity contest....I like so-and-so just "because" (in my case, my vote goes to the one whom I feel improved the most).

    JMHO along with everyone else.

Since I have never watched the show, don't care for it so cannot vote, but just reading about the voting, wish it would be changed and/or elimated and people picked by the panel, not calling or email in. But then we all can name many other programs over the years that have had problems.

2 cents more I wish the music was more consistent with the type of dance And I feel each couple should dance to the same music I think ABC is at fault in all of this and it might backfire on them with this show.

And what is wrong with one vote per email address or phone number ?

you know minnie, i thought the same thing about this seasons' music, some of it has really been a stretch. i have watched for yrs and yrs for the dancing and have been voting all along until 2 weeks ago when i gave up. i have an aunt & uncle who are retired lawyers and they spend a few months out of the yr traveling the country in ballroom dance competitions they've been doing this for atleast 2 decades, sometimes they are on PBS. i don't often know who the contestants are at first but i am interested in the costumes, music and dance routines. sometimes i don't like some of the stars at first, alot of that thou is because of their 'video packages' which can tweek opinions i think. after a few are weeded out i start to follow certain dancers. i oppose the voting system currently, it should be 1 vote per email addy, text or phone #. or 5 but a set quantity. i don't think ABC is going to change now...and i will probably not watch next season if they don't. this is acually the only evening show i do watch/DVR besides local and international news. for me this show is all about the dance talent, not who someone is. ~ liz

"i have an aunt & uncle who are retired lawyers and they spend a few months out of the yr traveling the country in ballroom dance competitions they've been doing this for atleast 2 decades"

That is fantastic I took BD for about 6 years when I lived in Miami and met quite a few pros. It was so much fun Never wanted to be a star just enjoyed learning all the steps etc. Congrats to your Aunt and Uncle BTW we had all ages and lots of people in their 70's taking lessons and having fun!!! Usually with your lesson comes a studio pary where you can dance with so many different partners A wonderlful thing for older couples too.

minnie, they are in their 70's and love it for the dancing and the travel. i love getting to see them when i am in chicago because they are also fans of DWTS so we both have something we love in common. i know they have met a few pros in their competitions. i think it keeps them young, they both still look like 50.

until DWTS, hardly anyone was into watching dancing competitions on tv, i used to see them on WTTW in chicago and never got anyone to watch w/ me lol. now it's all the rage from 20 yrs to 90 yrs old :-) ~ liz

I was taking lessons when the movie Dirty Dancing came out and it broke the ice as far as taking lessons. I didn't like the movie but we were thrilled that there was dancing in it.
I loved it when TV had two County Dance clubs on from Nashville I think it was the Ted Turner channel they did all ballroom stuff but to country music it was such fun to watch.
