If you said 'a horse' you are wrong.

I got a dog.

I think I need therapy.

There she was.

Sitting at the feet of a lady selling jewelry at a rodeo.

A 'I need a new home' sign was taped to the display table, with an arrow pointing at the dog.

The girl had to move.

The new apartment doesn't allow pets.

She got the dog when she was six weeks old.

She (the dog) is now four months old.

And she is cute.

I picked the dog up.

She licked my face and nuzzled my neck.

The kids are saying 'can we mom? Huh? Huh? Can we get her?'

I said 'go ask your dad.'

He said 'we don't need another d@mn dog' and digger said 'I KNOW we don't need anther d@mn dog. Who EVER needs another dog? The point is WE WANT HER!'

(Shy this kid isn't. She isn't easily intimidated either...LOL)

In the mean time I'm dickering with the jewelry saleswoman.

I got her down from five hundred to $250.

I was writing the check when hubby moseyed over (the kids had relayed his message 'I don't care') to ask what I'd paid. He loves it when I horse trade. I always get a good deal. He picked up the pup and talked baby to her.

Her name is Roz but I refer to her as low rider.

LOL

She has some house training issues but none we can't deal with. She has quit jumping up on us and is coming around to the idea that i am the alpha b!tch in the house. (She's been an only child until now...LOL)

What do you think?

We gave her a bath today as she smelt bad.

The girl mentioned they had kept in in a horse trailer that weekend as their motel didn't allow pets, which explained her odor.

She needs some worming too.

I will receive her vet records sometime this week but she is healthy.

The cats hate her.

LOL

Tuffy is not impressed either and ignored me most of the day.

Generally Gabby is very welcoming of newcomers but even she is a little standoffish.

They aren't allowed to be mean to Roz though and are okay with that. They learned a long time ago who was in charge.

They will also figure out quickly Roz is too short to get on the bed by her self and they aren't.

LOL

That'll make 'em feel better.

Oh Lori!!! She's GORGEOUS! She looks like a fox. Literally, LOL! I would have snapped her up too- good job!

Lumpy, you are right. The pink one in the back is Encyclia Cordigera. The tag says it smell like chocolate... I love chocolate scent! The Catt. in front is polka dot " Nalo". It is fragrant too. In this group, only the Dancing Lady " Sweet Ears" does not have scent. but it has pretty flowers... Majority of them have very healthy roots, only couple that start to have root rot issue. In general, these orchid are in much better/healthier condition than most moth orchids I have seen at Lowe's My guess is that these are U.S grow orchids, not like other orchids which may be shipped from overseas. I just repotted them with much fast drain orchid mix. Pray they'll survive. Sunshine, now you've mentioned it, I recall that I have never seen Lowe's carries B. nodosa and Maxillaria either till I bought them. All I've seen were the Catt. and Oncid. too just like what you've seen. Maybe these were in the back roll that I could have missed it. There is a very good orchid farm here, I usually get my orchids from them , not from Lowe's. I will browse for a bargain but will not seriously pay an orchid with full price at Lowe's. It may well be those Catt. and Oncid. etc. more showy flowers caught my eyes. Anyways, Lowe's must have had it somewhere. You might check your local Lowe's store again to see if you've missed them.

On a walk behind type of mower, not self-propelled--what does horse-power have to do with cutting grass? HMMM?? Will .5 additional H.P. have any appreciable effect on the power of the machine? Oh, yes, maybe if the operator runs it into 6 ft. high grass that has never been mowed, or cut in any way. Maybe the additional .5 of H.P. will allow the blade to turn 4 more times before it gets stalled out by the thick grass? I have always thought that stating the amount of H.P. was just an advertising gimmick, meant to fool the average homeowner into thinking he might have something much better than his neighbor! now, if the H.P. rating was being used to make a self-propelled mower move along better--well--how much faster would it move, and could the person using it keep up with it? Go figure-- And, as for the goof driving the motor home, who thought they could get up out of the drivers seat and go fix lunch, while under way (That means moving along) should be in the "funny farm", not in court! I drive a motor home, and we've often said we would be able to do that, but only said it in jest (jokingly) as i consider us, my wife and I, to be smarter than to try that, even though we might get enrichened by some smart lawyer. ;o)

My digital camera has low resolution, but i can set it to take various sized shots. I take very large pictures, then I use the photo program to compress them by taking them down in size. For example, the photo in the camera may say 1600 pixels but I bring it down to 300 pixels. That gives excellent photo quality on my little old thing. Happy Christmas Vera. Sorry you've gotta wait until spring now to snap photos of your garden!! Santa came to me today. He brought a new computer, new (refurbished) lap top, new scanner, TWO extra hard drives (I use up a lotta space with all this garden stuff), extra speed, DSL and wireless to be hooked up hopefully next weekend thanks to Santa's elf! I can't wait to be zooming around the gardening stratophere at the speed of light. NO MORE DIAL-UP!! GGG

She does look foxy! I'm glad you did a good thing. I always think of poor, homeless animals around the holidays... people, too but animals tug at my hearstrings more... what can I say? Beautiful dog, enjoy!

I thought "a dog" but not this dog, a different one. She looks like a sweet girl, though, and I'm sure she'll be very happy at your house.

The day Paisley made it up on the bed, the bed upon which Autumn was standing and lording it over her, was the saddest day in Autumn's life. lol Roz might not be big enough today to get up there, but just wait! Little dogs are usually great jumpers. :)

Oh....that's the one I meant! Not Basenji! I meant Shiba Inu!(Thanks Mrs.Micki!) LOL! My boss has one and he says they are great dogs...very protective of their people! So if that's what she is....look out Schawn Man! LOL!

I too thought of Happy Linda.
Getting another dog COULD bring him home to us.
Worse things could happen.

She's a Corgi and yes, she will bark; mostly at the cats.
She tried running Tuffy off the dog dish this morning...a very dumb thing to do. Tuffy put her in her place before I had a change to respond. LOL Now the resentment is mutual.

Roz is not set in stone.
Foxy is a good name.
I see a little pig when I see her walking away from me, so Miss Piggy is a possibility.
The kids like Roxie.

She's been using the puppy pads so she thinks nothing of doing her business in the house. She's not been taught to associate 'outside' with 'poop-pee' but she will.
She did get Digger up early this morning.
When Digger went outside with her she did her business so she's smart enough to know one doesn't go on the furniture as she's took little to jump off a bed yet.

She's sure a cutie Lori and looks so alert and smart. She does look Corgi to me. What is her breed? I'm sure "some" of your furry family will make friends with her. Maybe not the cats. :)

Awwww...so cute! Looks like she's got alot of Shiba Inu in her. They are a bit more like a wild dog...sort of a cat-like attitude. What a sweetie! Good luck with her.

I'm considering breeding Roxie to a small bearded collie (Tuffy's breed). I'd call them Bearded Borgies. LOL

I didn't know there were long haired Corgis but I can produce some if you want.
