I have 2 from different years. Kind of fun to look through once in a while. It's amazing how much I've forgotten.

I have mine from each year of high school. I look at them occasionaly and read what others have written . Glory Days !!! I went to five Senior High School Proms and 5 Jr proms plus all the dances our other orgs put on We had June and January Grduating classes..

Oh heck yes! I organized our 30 year reunion (2001) which included four classes (69-72). These were the first four graduating classes at a newly built high school. I'd have been lost without a yearbook.

I not only have all of my high school yearbooks but I have my jr. high yearbooks and mimeographed booklets we got back in elementary school.

Yep I have all mine and DH has all his. My sister has my mom's. I haven't looked at mine in awhile but about 2 years ago my daughter found one and really had a good laugh. I told her to remember this day because her kid would laugh at her. She's only been out 5 years and she's laughing already.

I wonder what they do when they don't have a yearbook anymore and it's all online. That would be a bit strange. I'd lose it for sure.

I would still have mine had my DH not decided to get rid of some "junk" the first year we were married.....over 48 years ago.
I find it interesting in his reasoning for keeping his mother's yearbooks. She was born in 1904 and died in the late 1980's.
I have suggested he send them to her school but he is not ready to part with them
I was NOT ready to part with mine, either but the decision was not up to me. He did it when I was at work.
I am still not happy about it but there are more important things to think about.

I went to the same school for 12 years. We would only buy one year book a year for my sister and me. I know I have several now, but probably not all of them.

I have one from my sophomore, junior and senior year.

I worked on the staff and was editor of my senior book. We didn't have much for funds that year, I remember. Our school was under some major construction...so we went with our theme as construction.

I still have my yearbook, but the picture in there over my name is not me,,,they got some goofy looking kid with a crew cut in my place....

Have all 4 of mine, and 2 from college.

But I can't get to them.

They are stored in the attic at what is NOW my son's home.

I have all of mine. DH could not afford his, but since we went to the same HS I share. What is amazing is that after we got married I found his signature in one of my year books and we never knew each other in HS. He was into track and weight lifting and cutting school, and I was into music and since our graduating class was over 500 I did not know many of the kids.

Nope, I got rid of mine only about 2 years ago, tho.
I was a bit conflicted. I hadn't looked at it more than a handful of times in the 25 years since. High school was OK for me, but not anything spectacular. Have never, will never go to a reunion -- there just wouldn't be a lot of people I'd be dying to meet again. So I decided it was clutter.

I started a discussion over on the Unclutterer forums about the pros and cons. Someone suggested donating it to the school library or selling it on eBay, and I probably would have had there not been friends' parting notes written in it. So I just tossed it. Haven't regretted it for a moment.
(And like Lazypup, there's just a bad -- 80s -- hairstyle on the girl in my photo. But at least Lazypup's photo doesn't also have blue eyeshadow. I hope.)

Blue eye shadow,,are you kidding,,I went to a public school in a poor town..the girls couldn't afford all that fancy makeup, so they all took art,,and used the schools tempera paint to do their makeup...

I have one from my first year in high school and both from Junior High.

Didn't care to have later ones. I have a senior class picture somewhere. My social life was outside of school.

I'm in touch with some schoolmates from that era on FB but back then we sort of scattered in different directions with different years of graduating,changing schools etc.

DS did it right. He refused to take a senior picture. He did buy yearbooks each year. In his senior year he bought a WHOLE page in the back of his yearbook. The one where student or parents can buy a section of space to congratulate, or say their farewells. All the touchy feely stuff etc. He filled it with pics of him doing things his way. LOL He mentioned his Rocky Horror crew, robot wars (he was the kid on an adult crew) and other outside activities. Not one having to do with school or classmates. He centered a pic of himself in his what I called his man in black geek outfit of full length duster,black jeans and drover hat and boots. It was who he was. School was something he did because he had to. He did it right. Silly to pretend otherwise.

I have all 4 years of my H.S. yearbooks. I was on the yearbook staff senior year. It was a fun time. I enjoyed my H.S. years & have attended several reunions which have been fun also.

Just cleaned my attic last week. All four of them there along with DH's and daughters. In fact, one of my Christmas gifts to DD this year will be her yearbooks and diploma. She's gotten in touch with some classmates on facebook so I thought she'd get a kick out of them. Besides, it helps me declutter.

I don't know where it is. :-(

Fortunately, a woman who went to my high school has put together a website with full pages scanned of many of our yearbooks, including mine.

It is fun to see photos of my old friends, and funny to see myself. I remember the day I took that picture, having my hair done in a big up-do with plenty of hairspray, the dress I wore. Long ago, and oh so far away...

I have all 4 of mine and I have DS's. About 12 years ago, after my mom died, I threw out her yearbooks when I moved. I hated to throw them away but I didn't have any use for them. I go to all my reunions every 10 years. I have one friend from high school that I got back in touch with last year for our 50 year reunion. She lives on an island near Seattle and we call each other every couple of months. We were co-editors of our high school newspaper our senior year. We each have a son named Tyson.

Yes, I still have mine. But when my daughter was little, she went through it and crossed out the faces she didn't like. Luckily my face was spared. lol

DH and I were in the same graduating class (1965) and I
have the senior yearbook. I had the sophmore and junior too
but don't know if I still have them. DH didn't buy any.
Sorry to see about 15 students have died, not to mention
a bunch of teachers.

I still have mine. There were 44 in my graduating class. I consulted it before attending my 55th class reunion. 50% of us showed up for that reunion. Sadly, several no-shows were deceased. There may not be a 60th reunion - not enough of us left in the hometown to organize it.

We didn't have them in Jr high, but I have all three from high school and all three DH's - we went to the same high school but he was ahead of me.

His class was the largest to ever graduate then or now, over 500 kids and turn out is great at his reunions, they've stayed connected for being so many. Such a good time, they hold reunions every 5 years, beginning with the 5th - in 1970 ;)

Mine aren't quite as much fun, but several women in my class are married to men in his so I do see them at his reunions.

I have four from HS and four from college. Husband has one from HS and a giant one from college..a big university. I have kept them together in my dry sink for many years. My DD will probably toss them. I have 100's of letters we wrote from our different colleges..every day. I have NEVER read them.

Yes, I do. We had a 30 year reunion last year but didn't hear about it until this summer. I wasn't invited. Oh, well.

I know it's here somewhere. I looked for it prior to my 40th Reunion, just last year (August 2010). I also can't find my college yearbook. Probably somewhere together?

No. Why would I want to? Memories are in my head, and when they disappear from my head, I would be wondering what that yearbook is and who the people are in it. LOL No offense, just not a keeper of "stuff." When the time comes, the kids will have no trouble cleaning, though.

MY sister took all my yearbooks (and many other things, like depression glass, etc) when she moved out of my house a few years ago.
Needless to say, she refuses any contact with me.

I have a couple but high school wasn't a fun time for me. We had our 10 year reunion earlier this year and I didn't go.

I still have a couple of yearbooks from elementary and middle school! Those are really fun to look through.

I am using my high school yearbook as a mouse pad! I have a strange set up at my desk, which was built before the era of computers. I have a drawer pulled out with the yearbook on top of it.

I have all my yearbooks from 7th grade on. I have all my children's yearbooks, too. I've been on a cleaning and organizing binge lately and came across all of them. I had a good time remembering old friends and also my children's friends.

We used the pics from our high school yearbook for the name tags at our reunions. It's a good thing we did, because I never would have recognized anyone without them.

There was a "saying" under each seniors picture in my yearbook. Mine says "Success comes to one who works faithfully". Someone must have been eating fortune cookies when they came up with that.

I still have most of mine - I also went to the same school all 12 years. K-6 was in one building next door to the 7-12 building. There were 39 in my graduating class and 22 of us went all 12 years together so I am in touch with alot of my classmates.

We celebrated our 30 year reunion recently and I scanned the yearbook logo for our invitations. I also took our 1st grade and senior yearbooks to Kinko's and enlarged some photos to display during our reunion. It was a big hit.

I must be a sentimentalist because I also still have pressed corsages, ribbons, newspaper articles, formal photos and even a piece of hardened chewing gum that was "passed" to me from an old boyfriend stuck in a scrapbook. I hadn't thought about it for many years until our reunion, and it was great fun to laugh about the early years. I could never part with my treasures.

I have all 12 of mine, first - 12th grade. I also have the class picture from most of my elementary school years (including kindergarten, no yearbook that year, though). My mom had to share her yearbooks with her sister so she made sure my brother and I had our own.

I still have them, but only the senior year is reachable. The others are somewhere in the stacks of stuff in the garage. I have always kept the senior yearbook handy because up until a few years ago, we had a reunion every year. I always wanted to go back and jog my memory about everybody. Then it began to taper off until maybe just those who still lived in the area would get together.

My DH and I went to the reunions when we still lived in that area. Years went by; we moved away and later moved back. We went to a reunion then, and when we got to the door where it was being held, I looked in and told my DH we must be in the wrong place . . . there was noone in there except old people!

There were more reunions to follow before the numbers dwindled to make it impossible, but we had some great ones, including a group cruise for the 50th "follow up."

I have my senior year one,that's the only one i ever had.I come from a large(12) kids family,so that is the only one all of us got.

KFCA37,before you put out 99.95 for it,go on ebay and see if you can get it there.My niece got my sister one there for a small amount of money.Since i know nothing about ebay,i can't tell you how she found it but she did.

She also found a set of my uncles dog tags that were found somewhere in the desert in Ca with one of those metal detectors.He lost them there during training during WWII.The person sent them to my niece for 0 charge.He just wanted to get them back to the family.I thought that was very nice of him.My niece sent them to my cousin,as they were her dads.Our family is from N.Y.State.

Thanks Kathi. I used to check occasionaly with EBay & just did again per your suggestion. It seems that now there is a Seller from my Michigan hometown who apparently specializes in educational items. He currently has about 10 Yearbooks from my high school up for bid/buy now, ranging from years 1930 through the 1970ties. Unfortunately not my graduation year this time round. His asking prices are in the $40-$50 range, plus postage, depending on age & condition.

I guess it would be fun to have an "original", rather than a new copy, so maybe I'll wait to see if he turns up with my year.
