My all time favorite is counted cross stitching. I have 3 canvasses going now. I also spin. I am finishing one of 2 coils of a gorgeous light grey brown Shetland sheep roving before I start on some alpaca roving before I start on some bags of dog hair for a friend. I'm knitting wristers (commercial yarn) for Christmas presents with matching skinny scarves. I am using all the tail ends of my yarn and weaving on a triangle loom. I think I might make a patchwork lap afghan with all the triangles. I also train and trial my dogs in agility and rally obedience.

Azzlea, I always wanted to carve spoons. I cut out an article from the Mother Earth News about 30 years ago, and still have it. (But I haven't carved a spoon yet.)

Pawsitive, what is roving? I've seen it mentioned on yarn shelves, but it just looks like yarn to me.

Photography (including volunteering as a gravestone photogorapher) and old-fashioned rug hooking (the kind that uses strips of wool cloth cut from old clothes) are two of my big interests. I play to try watercolor painting after the holidays.

I ride a bike. Today it was on the back of the tandem with Mel, I think it was 27 miles...

I also love to knit, garden (not right now... while I live in this apartment), cook and of course, eat. :)

I have always enjoyed doing different types of crafting, but my true passion is cake design and decorating. I also design and make favors for various events. It started out as a hobby, but grew into much more.

I make Reborn dolls as a hobby. And I also love to read..mainly non-fiction.

Gardening -- I'm a roseaholic.

Right now it is filling up my dollhouse. It is an addiction.
I love to quilt also, read, do trivia, and redecorate homes, especially my own.

What I do mostly , now, is knitting. When we lived in my home, I had a big craft room and would build doll houses, decorate them and build most of the furniture. I miss doing that. We're in an Apt now, so not much room for anything.

alisande-roving, also called "top"or "sliver" (long i), is fiber that has been washed, combed, and carded (and sometimes dyed) into a rope to be spun into yarn. Thickness depends on the manufacturer. It can be knitted without being spun. There is a YouTube tutorial on it. I love youtube!! I spent the 6 weeks my DH was recovering from by-pass surgery learning all kinds of things about knitting, spinning and weaving on a tri-loom!!

I now buy roving to spin. Ihave paid my dues, skirting, picking, washing, and carding fleeces! I figure I have only so much time left on earth that I am going to spend it spinning. Let someone else do the hard work. I am luck that I have a Shetland sheep operation in the same town and an alpaca ranch/shop 30 miles away.

I am basically a quilter, a reader, and a traveller.

I'm a gardener by trade and it's a hobby, too. I enjoy growing bonsai and ferns.
I also, take photos, backpack, and read.

I guess my main hobby is the KT Gathering Place, its what keeps me going. Here of course,..... then I do some sewing, fabric crafts of all kinds, and whatever I come up with thats different.

No craft hobby here, but I did collect dolls for 20 years, really enjoyed that. I also like gardening, but don't do much anymore.

I garden, but it's getting to be a chore now. I used to do a lot of doll-sewing, and wood working. But then stores, such at Wal-mart, etc. started carrying that sort of thing, and I lost interest. I guess reading is my main hobby now, and finding books I want at sales, etc.

Jogging, hiking/camping, scuba diving/travelling, sewing/upholstery, flower gardening, home decor/decorating, cooking/bread baking, bird watching, reading, trading stocks, shopping/bargain hunting/couponing, watching movies, going to museums/art galleries....photography.

While in the Air Force I was trained as a "Still Photography Speicalist", which included basic photography, Studio & Portrait photography, News photography, Industrial photography, Forensic Photography, Aerial Photography & Combat Photography and all levels of darkroom film & slide processing & printing.

After I got out of the Air Force I worked as a Newspaper Photographer for a short time, but I soon learned that profesional photo journalism was not for me.

I have since pursued photography as a serious hobby since 1975 and I made the switch from film to digital about 5 years ago.

My second hobby is ham radio(amateur radio). I have been a ham since 1975 and to date I have chatted with people all over the world, having confirmed contacts with over 140 countries not to mention that I have chatted with the crew on two space shuttle flights and the international space station. Although I do work voice radio, my true passion is CW (continuous wave) commonly known as "morse code".

I also enjoy pen & ink or pencil drawing of landscapes, wood carving, leather tooling and I have done a bit of stained glass work.

I love to read, but not fiction or novels. I like to read text materials that will actually teach me something; so I guess my real passion here is "learning something new."

Making cloth dolls, bears, and any animal that has a pattern I can follow. (cats, dogs, etc) Then I make an outfit for them and give them to any little girl who I happen to know or to the little young foster kids in our area...I love to make dolls and this is a good outlet for me as I really AM too old for cloth dolls. LOL But I sure like creating them.

I have way too many hobbies. I have lots of dolls that I sew for and I have loved selling on ebay. My husband and I are both ham radio operators and enjoy a couple of local clubs. He is very into CW and contesting and I just enjoy the fellowship of it. I am an avid gardener and freeze and can lots of goodies.

Definitely knitting. I'm not that good, but I enjoy it. I also like to garden and read.

Don't really have one I don't think. I work fulltime, take care of two homes and manage all our finances so not a lot of time for hobbies. Maybe fitness is my hobby as exercise is the first thing I choose to do when all that other stuff is taken care of. I was just talkIng to someone about whether or not I'd take up some kInd of crafty hobby when I retire. I kind of doubt it.

Hobbies, for me, have changed as I have grown older. I hate to say that I have 'done it all', but I really have tried my hand...sometimes quite successfully, sometimes not... at everything. Sewing is a long-time endeavour, as I sew any and all things as well as have taught classes as the times and fashions and fads have changed. I am a learner and am learning to quilt better these days. Oil paintings, ceramics, knitted and crochetted items are among my treasures, as well as generations of photos placed in photo albums, a bit of ancestry reasearch as well. I have a doll collection (my and my childrens generation) antique glass and transferware. We have travelled extensively, lived in foreign countries, and are working on our 'bucket list' of USA travels now. And I read....lots.

Quilling, card making, stamping and readings are the hobbies I am doing now. Over the years, my hobbies have changed as well.

Sewing, quilting, crafting, painting, stitching, etc. Oh, and reading and a little water gardening. I've tried most things but not stained glass. I used to macrame a lot, back when it was popular in the 70's/early 80's and then I switched to counted cross stitch and crewel and embroidery.

My hobbies are my mental therapy - painting, growing tropicals and chasing after my Grandsons.

I enjoy cooking, collecting recipes, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and vermicomposting.

Like a couple of the ladies here, I do a lot of fabric and fiber art. I'm really involved in it right now. I also do a good bit of polymer clay art and glass art. Don't get to read as much as I'd like anymore.

I haven't cross stitched in years but still consider it a hobby. I paint celtic knot designs and try to sell them at art fairs. i also make afghans, sketch, and I make my own greeting cards with my Spirograph.

I have done a lot of different things through the years .My fav is garden and mosaics I love love mosaics .I also do water gar.and reading .

I cross stitch too. I spend every moment I can doing it. When I am not on the computer of course! I also love cross word and word search puzzles. I play a lot of Sudoko on my phone while on my lunch break at work.

I collect recipes and love baking. My neighbors appreciate it because we can't/shouldn't eat it all and like to share. I like working crosswords and my favorite editor is Will Shortz. Enjoy reading but haven't done much of it lately.

We like card games and board games. Love my computer time, too and enjoy visiting different forums.

I love crocheting with thread. I've done many doilies, a few tablecloths. I love creating my own patterns for my coffeetable. I also made barbie clothes for my granddaughter and grand nieces, plus afghans.
One day I would like to learn how to knit. I also love working outside with flowers. I'm just a novice gardner but I love when they bloom.

I don't really have anything I would categorize as a hobby.

There are many things I like to do and some I do quite well but I am not immersed in them.

I read all the time but don't see it as a hobby. I am always surprised when someone says they don't read. For us it's like breathing and talking.

I guess figure skating could be considered a hobby since I'll just do it for fun if I can go back (miss it a lot) but to me that is my sport and physical activity, again not a hobby.

I bake, I sew, I'm a good cook when I want to be, I decorate cakes,I do puzzles of all sorts but none of them are true hobbies.

DH is the same. He is the creative one who has many talents but none of them are really hobbies. He does beautiful stained glass work but once it's done it's done. Not something ongoing. Fishing maybe but that again is an activity.

I am a mover and doer,not a sitter/observer so I guess that plays into it. I have a broad social life and don't really care to stay home futzing with things.

I am in a running club, but with all my injuries, I can't really run anymore. I still go, but walk and socialize. I do this about once a week.

I also like to scrapbook, read, and watch movies.

I am sure some of you have seen this photos. My main hobby.

I am a potter. I don't do it enough but I have sold several things so I guess I can call myself that now.

I have tried many things in the past but nothing soothed my soul like pottery does. I have my own wheel in my garage. I have a kiln too, but no space to put it now to hook it up. So I still go to my friend/teachers and pay her to fire my stuff. I love the friendship we share when we work on stuff together too.

I have sewed, stitched, painted all that stuff but nothing CLICKED like pottery.

I enjoy knitting and crocheting. But since we live in coastal Sounthern California, I don't have much use for warm clothing. So I just love to make baby things and love sending a nice box of homemade sweaters, booties, hats and blankets to new babies.

Antiquing, gardening both indoors and out, speed walking five miles a day..three with the dogs, two at the gym.
