Bulldinkie...is there any news of Mickey yet?

I'm sorry to intrude but I've been worrying about your little pal since you first posted. Is there any news? I didn't post on the previous threads but please do know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and Mickey! I'm sure the rest of the crowd around the table are as anxious as I am to hear some good news.

Dan and Paula, I will continue to keep you in my prayers and meditations. I know that you don't hold faith in prayer, but positive energy is coming your way in waves. I know it is a very difficult time, and one that you are not in the mood to speak of much. I know what you two are going through. Shortly after the birth of my next to youngest son, my stepmother was diagnosed. Hers had already spread too far before being diagnosed. When my youngest son was a year old, my favorite uncle passed after a 15 year remission. Even my stepmother had several years to enjoy life after her diagnosis, even with it having spread so far there wasn't much that could be done to treat it. If you can have faith in nothing else, have faith in the fact that you are a strong individual who has much left to share with the world. Have faith in the woman at your side who loves you, and your family who does as well. Have faith in the doctors who found this quickly. I had not left off of my prayers and meditations for both of you. In addition to healing and strength (light blue and red), I will also be lighting a pure white beeswax candle, one of the few left to me by my mentor, which holds her blessings and meditations for purity, faith and energy. I hope you feel well enough to join us and just hang out and talk. About anything. Gardening is a way of cleansing the soul and mind. If you haven't found the tux/suit coat yet, I would definitely be looking at the thrift stores. Around here, a man's suit jacket would run about $5. Do you have a local theater company? Some of them rent stuff out at Halloween time, to pick up some extra $$$. A tux coat just might be one they'd rent out. Of course you can rent a real tux coat at any wedding store, too, but probably for more $$. Two of our local theater companies were holding yard sales to get rid of some of their excess costuming. One was last month for San Diego Christian Youth Theater - one of my cast moms went down and picked up some things for us. One such "goodie" was a man's suit coat that had been cut back into an old fashioned suit coat. Not a Mickey fan. I thought the club was a group of dweebs. My mother watched so it was on when we came home from school. Reruns. They showed the same stuff over and over and over. To this day I can sing the Applegate mystery song...gold doubloons and pieces of eight handed down to Applegate.... I am a also a Rocky and Bullwinkle fan. I used to have them on video tape. I watched Captain Kangaroo as a very small child in New York. My favorite was Grandfather Clock. Every day I waited breathlessly for him to say something significant. He didn't. I despised the stupid Rabbit and Moose. I didnt even like the Captain. Mr Greenjeans on the other hand was nice. I loved magic drawing board and knew it was a person writing backwards. My mother tried to spoil it for me by telling me. I was even more impressed. Mighty Manfred the Wonder Dog...

Koda, I feel the same way. I'm sure she'll post when Mickey comes back. Prayers continued for them both.

Sorry for not getting back....SORE SUBJECT...My baby didnt come home.Couldnt tell you how many times I looked out in yard or on the porch for her.I miss her sooo bad.
I called the guy we got her from he said he gives her 5-6 weeks yet.He said dont give up yet.
I ran an ad in the paper a neighbor called me and said she was at his shed about the time she disappeared so hes going out tomorrow to look around.
at this point Id give anything to have her back.especially with the holidays.at Christmas we would buy a stocking full of doggie toys.Wed wrap each one separate as she was like a child on Christmas so happy to get presents,open them.shed rip them open her tail would go...when it was someones birthday wed sing happy birthday shed join in.I miss seeing her laying upside down in her bed all 4s up in the air.hearing her snore.Its killing me inside can you tell?Hoping for A Thanksgiving miracle....

I'm still hoping, too, Dink and I agree, don't give up yet. Stranger things have happened. Maybe someone took her in and she's being well taken care of and is missing you, too. It's the not knowing that will tear you up. Try to keep a positive thought, OK?

I have been following this and check almost every day to see if there's news. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats - all a part of my family - and I understand the pain of losing one. I am so sorry for what you are going through.

Keep watching and hoping. This is the season of miracles.

I agree that you can't give up. Dogs are amazing, and so are neighbors--I hope someone is giving Mickey a TEMPORARY home for you.

I keep hoping for a miracle for you Bull...Was she tagged with your name and address so if someone did find her a quick call would have her back to you?...Our collie went missing several years ago and after a week we finally got a call..."Are you Duncan's Mommy"...That call was music to our ears!! DH and I were both crying when we picked him up...The guy who had him couldn't believe an 80 pound collie jumped into my husbands arms...I hope you get that same call very soon...
